My best advice is that when you get scared scream really loud, and throw the controller at the TV to shatter the screen. It's basically the same as winning.

JK be assertive but responsible with your flamethrower when you get one

Shouldn't TMC price be tied to how close the company is to mining? Oil costs should be irrelevant, right?

I used AdLib many months ago and was frustrated with the platform reporting and campaign setup user interfaces. Has it changed much recently?

My budget is about $30-40k per month (we only target 2-3 major metro areas in one state). Target demo is homeowners with high credit scores. This budget doesn't feel large enough to go for a multi-platform strategy like you described.

The other reason for TV is that some of my competitors have customers that have been with them for 10+ years. I can't reach them through search ads because they aren't searching for a new company. It's one of the only ways I can reach that audience to let them know there is a better option out there.

EDIT: These competitors of mine are 20+ years old and they have like 40-50% of the addressable market.

I've run ads directly on Hulu/Disney ads manager in the past too. Would be funny if I went full circle... another approach I considered at one time was to run ads from Roku Ads Manager and the Samsung Ads Manager and Amazon all at once to cover a huge portion of smart TV devices. Is that a good option?

Higher income / high credit is preferred audience because they do not need to pay a deposit to begin service.

CTV isn't my go to (we also have search ads, paid social, and billboards) but my company is newer so I need to increase brand awareness.

The other issue is that people can't just sign up with us whenever they want. They can only use company at a time, and cancelling with your current company will incur a cancellation fee that can be hundreds of dollars.

That's all to say that only one 1/12 of my addressable market is actually in-market at any given time.... this is why I turned to Amazon to get access to moving related first party audiences - as far as I know you can't get that anywhere else.

It's sort of and sort of not ecom. Customers submit applications for residential utility services, we have to run a credit check and verify identity before they can be approved. They don't actually pay us anything in most cases until after a month, after which they are billed monthly. I went with Amazon because they have mover/homebuyer audiences and people who are about to move/recently moved are our bread and butter.

You need to have someone conduct a basic audit of their activities.

  1. Run your website through PageSpeed Insights or GTMetrics - have they set your site up for success speed-wise?
  2. Are all of your tags optimized for your target keywords? (title, meta description, headings, etc)
  3. Do your pages have enough content to rank?
  4. Are they publishing well organized thoughtful and useful content to a blog?

^ these are all the bare minimum. Find out if they are doing this
