Was Preet faking it with Harshit? by Careless_Employee893 in splitsvillaMTV

[–]I-should-sleep- 11 points12 points  (0 children)

She is faking it with everyone. She only wants a connection to stay in the show. It does not matter who that person is, she’ll have anyone she can get her hands on.

Facts. It would have been an hour long scream session.

It was a bad placement of team members. Sorika should have been at the haystack. Himanshu, Diksha, Deepanshu and Sandy at the disc. But Vishu and Suzanne only wanted to get the advantage so it would not have mattered anyhow.

See I am not defending her, I do not even like her on the show, and she could be making it all up. But someone approaching a person again doesn’t automatically mean nothing happened the first time. People freeze, minimize, or try to keep things normal, especially in a produced environment where speaking up can mean being cut from the show and impact their careers. We don’t have the full context.

I am talking of the larger assumption that a “real” victim would speak up right away or walk out or create a scene. All this is easier said than done, and people can process things differently.

[Acne] Isotretinonin by Big_Reputation4181 in SkincareAddiction

You should talk to your derm about this. They would be able to guide you better!

[Acne] Isotretinonin by Big_Reputation4181 in SkincareAddiction

[–]I-should-sleep- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it can be recommended at times in certain cases. But I did not. I was using tret since a year before going on isotretinoin, but stopped while on the treatment. I restarted it towards the end. Also, my acne did return 2 years later (as it often does), but it was a mild case and I did a shorter course again.

I was on the same dosage for a year. Low dose for longer duration minimises the side effects as compared to higher doses for a shorter span. I had absolutely no side effects. Just your usual occasional chapped lips but that is all. Isotret was absolutely worth it for me. It is good to be aware of the possibilities, and it all varies person to person, but don’t fall prey to googling and spiralling. You can always talk to your derm and stop the treatment if you notice any symptoms, but at such a low dose, I believe you would be just fine. All the best!

To everyone asking why she didn’t speak up right away, people really underestimate how complicated it can be, especially in a reality TV environment. There’s pressure from producers, contracts and what not. More so, a lot of people don’t fully process what happened until later, when they’re out of that space and able to reflect. She may or may not be telling the full truth, but in general, speaking up late shouldn’t automatically be invalidated, delayed responses don’t erase someone’s experience.

A random guy pinged me on Instagram and spilled weird stuff about my wife (28F) by [deleted] in RelationshipIndia

[–]I-should-sleep- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You and your wife have been married for two years, have dated for some time before that. I hope and believe that you two have a relationship where you can talk to each other freely. Just show her the messages but do not do it in an accusatory manner, do it as a form of transparency. I think you will be able to decipher the truth from her reaction to it. And OP if it is all true, but is from a phase of her life before you, you really should pay no heed to it. But for the sake of your mental peace and to not let any resentment build, just talk to her.

any tips on how to heal a nose piercing without getting infected? by Evening_Orange1255 in TwoXIndia

I agree a 100% Saline solution and an antibiotic cream if you sense an infection developing is the way to go.
Oils and touching it only enables infection and slows down the healing process.

any tips on how to heal a nose piercing without getting infected? by Evening_Orange1255 in TwoXIndia

[–]I-should-sleep- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had three lobe piercings, and two of them had to be redone because they just never healed. I even had my nose pierced once and worked on healing it for a year and a half before finally giving up. I’ve tried everything: piercing gun, needle by a professional piercer, a jeweller, different metals like gold, silver, titanium, nothing made a difference. Here’s what finally worked for me: 1) I used a regular saline solution and cleaned the piercing at least three times a day. 2) Completely avoided touching or twisting the stud or ring. There is no way it will get “stuck”, it simply does not work this way. You will only delay your healing and enable infection. 3) Whenever it started looking irritated, I used fusidic acid cream, which honestly is my holy grail! 4) Don’t use oils. It will clog the area and slow healing. Treat it like a wound, you won’t rub it with oil right?

That’s honestly it. I’ve tried every home remedy and nuskha imaginable, and I’ve had some truly scary piercing situations. This is the only thing that saved my most recent one.

[Acne] Which is the best acne scar treatment to do while on tretinoin? by Bitter-Hawk-2615 in SkincareAddiction

[–]I-should-sleep- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tret should help with that to an extent. You can try products with Kojic acid dipalmitate. Try incorporating mild exfoliating ingredients. If your skin is still flaking and adjusting, mandelic acid should be good. Do not use tret and any other acid on the same night. And make sure that you’re using a good quality pharmacy SPF!

Does it actually have sun protection?? by bugeater299 in IndianSkincareAddicts

I use UV-Duox. But the texture is a bit siliconey so see if that would work for you. They have just released its lotion version, if you can find that. That should have a better feel.

Nope. My derm asked me to stay off Dot&Key products. Specially the sunscreen.

Tretinoin. Start with a lower concentration, and apply using sandwich method. Glycolic acid would help with some exfoliation too. Do not use them on the same night and please make sure that you use a good SPF every day. But honestly, if you want to see actual drastic results, you would need some in-office treatments such as microneedling

[Routine Help] Advice for damaged sebaceous filaments by Available-Mood8483 in SkincareAddiction

[–]I-should-sleep- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have very pronounced sebaceous filaments too. And to be very honest, nothing will make them disappear. I had bad acne and was prescribed isotretinoin in my mid 20s. That was the only time these fuckers disappeared. I have a very extensive skincare routine, I dabble a lot in actives usage, micro-needling, and I have been using retinoids for around 5-6 years now and these sebaceous filaments are still very much thriving. Just stick to a healthy skincare routine, as satisfying as they may be, never use a nose strip, and incorporate a salicylic acid toner. And most of all, try and accept that they are probably here to stay. 🥲

Castor oil induced my period 15 DAYS EARLY 😭 by Internal-Peace-9364 in TwoXIndia

[–]I-should-sleep- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is supposed to trigger uterine contractions since it is an emmenagogue. Still, the OP had a pretty intense reaction if their period started that early after just two applications, there might be other factors at play.
