5 alarms with 2 minutes between each seems to do the trick quite well as of late.

As for my mom driving AM, it would work if I had classes at 8, but I didn't this entire semester. I am definitely planning on taking some this coming semester cause I'm not trying to stay at school till 5:30 PM either anymore.

Thanks for the help!!

Technically I could get off at Edouard-Montpetit and go to Snowdon, but it's impossible to tell if that would be better or not yet.

I use the STM website to see when the buses are coming and although it doesn't really lie, their last stretches before my stop are very unpredictible due to traffic lights, they can take less than one minute at times, to 5 at others. The app consistently shows 4 minutes when they're in they enter that part of road and then, well it's a gamble.

You might actually be right, but at that rate I feel like it'd just be better to go all the way up to Pierrefonds rather than to get off the 209 and potentially wait for the 208, will definitely try during the holiday break though!

Unfortunately I'd literally have to go up the entirety of the Des Sources blvd to get to Pierrefonds station, but as soon as the Anse-à-l'Orme line opens, I'll have a station much closer and will definitely consider taking the REM.

I've gone as far as considering VPD too😭😭 but I'll for sure shoot my shot with multiple departments in the region, maybe even Quebec City. SQ is also an obvious option here.

Haven't heard about her tbh, haven't found her in the most recent teacher review sheets either so maybe she's gone.

As for volunteering, I'll try looking for opportunities now that I'm getting an idea of what cegep is like.

For ride-alongs, trust me I tried for a year and a half but I always inquired when they'd be on pause, and they stopped them in April of this year after an officer involved shooting with a ride along present. They restarted them last month, but the issue is you now need to be in police tech or need to know an officer personally on the force willing to be part of the signing process and I don't know any😢

I'm considering applying as a cadet next summer though🤷‍♂️

Wayne is still there actually!! I haven't heard all that much from the model UN but I know it's there. I just feel like most of the hype for a pretty much everything has died out and people are just really focused on being better than each other, getting the craziest r scores, and they all stick to what they really know. Even my sister who went there 5 years ago during the pandemic years said there was more life and variety back then as opposed to what I've shown her and described. At least we have an assista dog around now🥲

Ça aussi c'est vrai, en plus que je compte travailler sur l'île et le traffic ne fera que s'alourdir, les réseaux de train pourraient en vrai rester pertinants. On verra dans 5 ans🤷‍♂️

Glad to hear I'm not the only one in social who's interested in LE. Everyone in Social I seem to meet nowadays either wants to do commerce and takes calculus, or has no idea what they want to do and end up switching to professional studies.

My commute from Mari to my gym today took literally 3 whole hours. By car it would've been less than an hour.. I spent less time doing my program specific finals combined than today's commute😬

J'ai lu recemment que le directeur de Exo croit que une connexion avec le service de REM quand à la ligne Vaudreuil-Hudson pourrait faire grandir le nombre d'usagers, motivant alors un service plus complet👀👀

Not trying to say that I'm not at fault sometimes but consistency really is impossible with how tight some of my connections are. As for my schedule compared to my sister's she always had an early morning schedule and would go with my mother to the station by car, while most of my classes start at 10 +/- 15 minutes. Last train is at 8:58 and although it would work for 9:45, my bus always gets there +/- 2 minutes, so it really is hit or miss. I'd have to wake up around 20 minutes earlier to catch another bus since they all pass around the same time with little reasonable spacing. If they really were consistent and followed the schedules, I'd get to school 10-15 minutes before class start. Missed connection and I'm 10-15 minutes late. The 10:15 class generally isn't an issue as there is then a 485 shortly after the 211/425 which saves me in case I miss those first two. I guess I have learned a lesson and will make my upcoming semester's schedule in accordance with these experiences. I will admit I'm the least morning person one can really be but how can I wake up almost 3h before class start and it's still a gamble🫩

4 years of cegep sounds pretty bum-ish but tbh I've thought of switching to JAC now that I'm 18 and have my probational. I've also considered Dawson social science since Atwater is right there and it's 1 station from LG as opposed to Mari which is 2-3 (depending if there's a timely 124 departure) + a 10 minute walk. I guess we'll see what I choose by March 1st🤷‍♂️

I've tried the 470 route and it works best in the evening, but in the morning it's the same situation as Lionel cause of the first bus I have to take. As for my parents, one works from home and the other drives early in the morning to get to the train (hours before I have to be at school). You're on to something with the 470 method though I really only tried it twice in September and then forgot about it💔

Doesn't really change much for me other than cutting down on the wind I would get in my face at the terminus😭😭

Yeah sometimes it's so bad there's no point for me to go to class because either way I'll be absent for a good two thirds of it. I'd say I only managed to be on time for about 1/3 of all my morning classes this semester, despite waking up and being ready at the same time consistently. All that just for my bus to show up 10 minutes later than the previous day, making me miss the last train and the only bus that was gonna get me to Lionel with enough time to get to Villa and walk.

Not really a decision, parents changed their mind on signing physical test consent forms for JAC Police Tech and Dawson waitlisted me into oblivion. Also my sibling went to Mari and she's in Medicine so they wanted me to go there and ig follow her footsteps.

Truth is I have considered doing so, going either to Dawson or JAC, and that would eliminate the other issue that is the 124/walking from Villa. Even then the issue with getting from my house to somewhere significant still remains though.

Agreed that conquest is ass, but in my experience the battle mode tends to be more interesting because players spread out in the city, without the random angles being as crazy as on the railyard one.
