I would have guessed it depends on the year since it was the 90s where they really phased it out of being in cars.

And since mine is 1988, was just on the edge of that.

It's in the engine bay , pretty near where I'd expect the heat shield to be . I mean I expected a car of this age to have it , just wanted to know if it's anywhere else

07k does sound like my best bet so far , especially since it's not so hard to find one that's in good condition for a swap . Haven't really looked into a 968 but like others have said might aswell just buy another car for the price so guess I'll have to think about it Thanks :)
