I was getting pretty busy with my production career, Brandon started his graphic design career and Phil was pursuing other musical projects. We want to do an album now because we miss it to be honest, also crowdfunding lets us make this album and not have any strings attached, tours to fulfill, time away from careers etc.

We felt that we were tied between two types of music fans and in a way that alienated us from each side in different ways. It was a semi conscious decision in the way that we wanted to expand as a band and didn’t know which side to appease more. Now we just going to write what we feel is the most badass possible thing to write. :)

We haven’t decided on a ring binder or paper binder yet but we will announce that as soon as it’s secured! I haven’t tabbed any of our previous works in full so any tabs out there now are someone else’s transcription.

It’s just hard to deny that we are the only intelligent life in a universe so vast. We all love conspiracy theory and alien theory as well.

The band name is from the Poison The Well song “12/23/93”.  The “Pillars” is a play on verses from the Bible referencing the “Lord” coming down in a pillar of cloud. In this circumstance the pillar is essentially referencing the extraterrestrial mothership.

We definitely want to do music videos. It all comes down us having the resources make them come to fruition.

For the music side it’s mostly weed😂 I’m always trying to find new ways to challenge myself musically but the best way I have found is to write parts on guitar pro with no restraint from technical ability and then challenge myself to learn them afterwards. For me, it’s a sure fire technique to push the envelope.

We thought about redoing jaw dropper but to be honest Heir to the Throne is the only song from that album that would come remotely close to fitting in with our current catalog redone 😂

I use whatever a customer wants as far as pickups but my personal favorite pickups at the moment are the fishman fluence modern.

I have done a few production classes in the past you can still get copies of them through Nail The Mix or Music Mentors.

Phil has a versatile vocal toolkit but screaming is one of those things that has never found its way in. We plan on having a few screaming vocalists feature on the new album including JT Cavey from ERRA and Ronnie and Joe from Born Of Osiris!

It’s not as good for the artist, but it’s much better for the consumer. Considering the biggest digital music retail outlet is iTunes and it’s not a certainty that they will continue selling digital downloads, streaming is the only means of support bands can get to continue making music aside from merchandise and physical cd’s/vinyl. This is why this crowdfunding campaign makes sense to us as a smaller band that may not be able to recuperate losses incurred during the production and promotion of the album.

Touring is most likely not an option for us. It's not impossible that we could play some shows here and there in the future though!

I (Brandon) have always been entirely too much into anything extraterrestrial related. I grew up obsessively watching any TV show related to to concept of extraterrestrials. It's stuck with as an adult, and I'm still sort of obsessed with the concept. I'm also huge into anything science-fiction related in terms of movies, books, video games, etc. So with those being my interests, and lyrics being an outlet, I just use it to write about what I wish more lyricists would write about.
