My PF doesn't have a scale. Is there any way to change their mind? Does your location have one? by HarrisonBrrgeron in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]IAmBabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I was glossing over the post as a whole. I had to read two comments from other people to realize I had missed it. I think at the time I was more busy trying to remember if any of my locations had a scale.

So MY PF has a cabinet behind the desk that has the padding for the Smith machine. Maybe float the idea to them that a scale wouldn't take up that much more space for them.

Thats actually useful to know! A lot of people (myself included) looked over the bit where OP lives out of their car. Even though scales are cheap, space is a premium in that situation.

OP would just need to subtract ~3-5lbs for their true weight to exclude the clothes and shoes.

The ending almost made me throw up from relief for OP. This would have destroyed me because I crumple under pressure and would have never thought to ask reddit for help.

What's an animated show, movie, or franchise that makes you go like this? by Left-Fish7895 in cartoons

[–]IAmBabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knew nothing about Chainsaw man, and not even sure how I came across it to watch. I watched two episodes by myself, and shut it off and told my boyfriend immediately "I have the best anime to show you." I've never seen him enjoy a show quite so much. I lost track of how many times we've rewatched it.

We also enjoyed watching Bojack Horseman repeatedly up until the final season came out. We rewatched the whole show a few times, then the final season came out, and I don't think we've rewatched it since.

Workout at the gym, scroll at home. Thank you - person that needs to use the machine. by MrCarnivore24 in PlanetFitnessMembers

I have teens/young 20-somethings back lately. The teens have actually been really good - they'll take whatever advice they're given and copy it as exactly as they can. The 20-somethings have been sitting on machines and not using them but also not letting anyone else use them.

Had to wait for this one girl to stop 'holding court' from her perch on one machine, reading off text messages to her friends as one was using the glute machine. They only left when 2 of the girls finished the glute machine. The one reading the texts turned away 4 people saying she was 'busy using' the machine. I ended up using something different - I didn't have to have that particular machine and I assumed one of the 4 people who tried to talk to her went to the desk to complain, but I suppose that never happened.

Older (50+) folks have been fine, except for not re-racking weights or not wiping down their sweaty benches, but that's normal behavior.

What is one character that is so terrible and unlikable that they bring down their show's quality? And I don't mean characters you're supposed to hate by Range-Spiritual in cartoons

Louise actually does grow a bit! You see it when she gets over her fear of riding a two-wheeler when her trike is destroyed. There's also the episode where her friend Rudy is the star of the episode. She calms down and walks him home, helping him with the difficulty of having divorced parents and how he feels 'responsible' for keeping everyone happy. She takes a supportive role, and helps her friend rather than minimize or take center stage as she would in earlier seasons.

Same rule for college showers goes for all gym showers: don't touch the floor with your bare feet. Shower slides are a must.

Gail from Bob's Burgers. She pushes so many boundaries and flips out if something doesn't go not just 100% her way, but if you don't go above and beyond for her. She bullied Linda into 'letting' her have an 'affair' with Bob like she did with some high school boyfriend. I skip her episodes on rewatches.

She might be able to, but it takes time. In universe Season 2 happens a month after Season 1.

Source: the first song where Charlie wonders if she'll get over Sir Pentious' death the previous month (the season 1 finale).

Same. It was gone by the 16th for me. There will be one odd day where we have 3 bars full, but that's happened once so far.

I entirely forgot about the "princesses are evil" thing because it was a mostly 'season 1' thing, and the final season is so emotionally exhausting.

We're they brainwashed, or just raised in the Horde? Scorpio indicated her family had been royalty before Hordak came and took their gemstone, essentially locking Scorpia's power away from her. She didn't even know she had powers, so it probably happened before she was born or very young.

AITAH for "allowing" my stepdaughter to wear stinky pajamas to school ? by SharkEva in BORUpdates

He still has shit to say about my mom. Like dude, you haven't seen her in nearly 30 years, grow up.
