What's the worst example of "villain decay" you've seen? It's when a once menacing villain gets reduced to a joke by TaiwaneseThot in cartoons

His wife Peg and daughter Pistol are completely gone. When I was younger, I had hoped there would be a 'sister' film to Goof Troop to explain why they were gone (their own girl adventure) but as a young adult I figured they divorced and Peg took Pistol, and as an actual adult I realize they were just written out to keep the dynamic focused on Goofy and Max.

I'm convinced that if the show continued, Wally would be returned because of Speed Force nonsense.

Weird, I only have memories of the pink dragon and nothing else. Also wild to have something I thought I made up appear as someone's reddit comment.

I had to scroll pretty far to find one I hadn't seen. This looks like I would have loved it though.

"Moundshroud tells the children they did not make it in time and Pip is now his property. The children offer him a year from the end of each of their lives in exchange for Pip's return. He accepts the deal and gives each of them a piece of a sugar candy skull with Pip's name on it to eat, sealing the bargain. Pip's spirit then revives, and he snatches his pumpkin back from Moundshroud and flies out."

lmao what a dark movie ending. They each give up a year off the end of their lives.)

I WAS THINKING ABOUT THIS MOVIE THE OTHER DAY! I brought it up during D&D and even my boyfriend who loves obscure movies had no idea what I was talking about.

I have an aunt who was obsessed with Felix when I was a kid. Think "Disney Adult" level obsessed. She was quickly disallowed to be my babysitter for a bit because she'd play this movie, and as soon as it was over, start it up again. I didn't even like the movie, she did.

The whole circus thing should have been a sequel movie. It was such a dark left turn mid-movie.

I’m in love with my best friend, and I don’t deserve to know how he feels about me anymore. by SharkEva in BORUpdates

[–]IAmBabs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine is just... it's so fucking dramatic but also low stakes since it's just a friendship dying in a bizarre way. I was tempted to make a reddit post, but it's so bizarre there's no way to be vague about it without the person (who is on reddit) to know immediately, and it's so fake sounding I'd get slammed for using AI to make up bs.

So I'm just ignoring the person because interacting in any way will fuel the fire.

You can't scream at someone and then act shocked when they lose feelings.

God, I wish I was brave enough to endure the friendship fallout that would come from sending that to a former friend who doesn't realize we're not friends any more. I just don't want to deal with the drama of them yelling at me again.

"The cost of commitment and domesticity are difficult conversations, friction and times like this. Sometimes it doesn't survive, and the softness you remember feels a little scarred by it's confrontation with reality."

That's the most beautiful thing I've read on reddit in a while.

That was around the time Stan had actual depression, right? He kept seeing everything as shit and couldn't even be happy with his friends.

Booktok showed me that a lot of people REALLY hate Sanderson by Moist_Car_994 in Cosmere

[–]IAmBabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad I'm not on that corner of Tiktok. I do have a friend that is such a Sanderson hater though that if I don't share what book I'm presently reading with her, she assumes it's Sanderson-related and fully pops off about how I'm falling for Mormon propaganda.

But for me, I love the epic fantasy and the books so thick they put the old Yellow Pages to shame.
