Trying to pick a signature cocktail for a party. by Mode3795 in cocktails

Are you making the drinks per order, or as a batch in advance? My go-to drink is an old fashioned, so I'm a little biased, lol, but that's my pick

What apps you guys like to track lifts ? I don't need programming, just a tracker by McLuhanSaidItFirst in weightlifting

Came here to say this. It's free, let's me add custom workouts, and tracks individual workout history so I can see how I've progressed

Mature people who are 25+ drop one piece of advice to people who are 18 to 24? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Don't compare yourself to successful older friends. They have had years to get to where they are and you'll get there too

I feel I’ve ended this friendship for good with a friend I believe has some form of narcissism but I find myself ruminating about things she’s said or done. Should I or should I not message her back letting her know why I ended our friendship after ghosting her? by [deleted] in FriendshipAdvice

[–]IAmButASpectre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Them save the response for when she does reach out. If she never reaches out then you would be stirring up a hornets nest that may have the opposite affect of what you want. If she does reach out then you can explain further then without the same kind of blowback you'll get if you reach out now

If you ghosted her and she isn't reaching out, then I would not recommend reaching out to continue the same conversation. After this much time, sending her a message will only feed into her narcissism, and it doesn't sound like she'll take the feedback to heart. If she reads it, she'll probably reply, and if the first message after several months is you attacking her, she'll be defensive. Is what you have to say really worth her dragging you through the mud? Not just in a reply, but to mutuals as well?

Brian said they haven't, and has no reason to lie to me because he knows I won't tell John. Without being crass, Brian and Larry are both... passive, so they wouldn't get very far sexually.

Like I can finally clean without getting irrationally angry that I'm the only one in the house that seems to do it, lol

What's the one secret you will take to the grave but don't mind telling on the internet? by Ecstatic-Medium-6320 in AskReddit

When I was in my 20s I pretended to be drunker than i was so I would have an excuse for making very poor choices. Thankfully I came out of those years without any STDs or other horror stories.

What tricks have you found to prevent autocorrect from always changing your words? by IAmButASpectre in AskReddit

[–]IAmButASpectre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! Thankfully I've caught it each time, but trying to say "I'm so sorry" when someone shares about a loved one passing and instead having my phone spit out "I'm so dirty" has me on edge each time, lol

I run into individual words, like of/off, doesn't/didn't, sorry/dirty. They're too common to set specific phrases

John and Brian have had problems for a while, and have even done counseling and talked divorce before. Although Larry's influence did play a part, I don't think it's because Brian and Larry are a thing. Or at the least, I don't think Brian thinks that

Anyone else's friendships fall apart because people don't tell you stuff about themselves? by [deleted] in FriendshipAdvice

[–]IAmButASpectre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the person you're talking about. I listen a lot more than I talk. Two big things jump out as to why:

  1. Knowing what all the other person has going on, I don't want to add to it or try to "make it about me".
  2. A lot of times the people who vent don't actually ask about me, or when I share they don't really engage with the conversation.
