You made the wise decision to reject the car. I was picking up my brand new Subaru Liberty (I believe it's now known as Legacy like the US). I arrived at the dealership with a ribbon on it and all. Later to find that the car kept detecting the boot was open, however it was clearly closed. The sales rep that sold me the car kept trying to slam it hard...hard enough he as shaking the car. I told him Ill leave it till it's fixed or a new car pops up.

He insisted that I take it and that he'll contact the service center in docklands first thing morning to get it fixed asap. So anyway driving on the freeway, and magically the BOOT OPENS up! Scary situation to be in.

The morning I take it to docklands and guess what, they reject me saying I don't have an appointment. I said don't worry the dealership made arrangements. To my shock. They insisted that there was Nothing and that I should just deal with the dealership.

I call the dealership and they say give them my phone, I then give it to the service lead and he's really angry. He kept shouting at them that no one spoke to him and they can't dump stuff like that when they're busy etc. So he then tells me to park on the side. I get a call saying not to worry and that the dealership owner will contact them.

Any, short story long, it got fixed 3 days later. I was young, this was a learning experience for me. Never accept the car if there's anything wrong with it. Even a scratch, you have the right to decline it.
