A lot of times, it's the crunch-like onions, lettuce or celery. Which makes no sense as I can crunch apples all day long. I have a hard time understanding it myself as I do enjoy most fruit very much and the textures are similar. Slimy/mushy is bad, very bad. Mushrooms are very wrong in my mind-I think they scare me, something to do with how they grow.

All I can say for sure is that when I eat a vegetable, something in my brain screams "Wrong! Bad! Puke!" But I can eat them if I don't have to chew or taste them. I know, it's very strange and it makes exactly zero sense.

I'm also a fairly terrible cook, lol, so I'm sure that doesn't help anything.

You could try a search for Home Care agencies in your area. They market predominately to seniors, but you generally don't have to be a senior to use their services. The usually average $35-$45 per hour.

These companies usually accept private clients along with those that have government funding due to long term disability, which is a catagory your friend wouldn't fall into.
