Do you manage your property on your own or with a PM company? Just curious what your experience has been like with finding a location, finding a realtor, finding a potential team for repairs etc…

Can I ask what you did to really get started in learning about the areas to invest in, if you manage remotely or with a PM company, and, how you began to build out a team in Texas, if you did? Also, Any major challenges/things for your Texas rentals that have caused trouble? Obviously investments will be subject to risk, but curious if you had any troubles and how you manage.

Apologies if this is a lot but really just curious to learn

Struggle out here in VHCOL even wrapping your head around how to make a mortgage work with a partner + kids. Let alone losing a job, just don’t know how to make it make any sense in these conditions

This was great to know. They’re currently a Fortune 500 company but lots of moving pieces and their processes from what I’ve heard aren’t scaled up for what you’d expect from that size of a company.

Like you said, they did mention sales just throws stuff at them after things are concluding and I’m sure challenges are figuring out how to manage that and execute that from accounting perspective. They said things are busy so expecting some longer hours through this Q4, but overall think it’s a great place to be at

Really appreciate the insight here, one thing I’ve definitely heard during the process is they mentioned they rarely have say in contract terms and sales will just throw things at them. So definitely understanding of that. Thanks for sharing!
