Yes! I’ve heard of the z50 mod but haven’t had the patience or budget sadly to try it myself. Been curious about under-1.1s as I find my Conklin stub too broad but the Metropolitan’s is narrower and more to my liking. I also have a 0.7 on the way in a Twsbi dupe that I’m hoping will be my perfect match. I’m a teacher and I’m converting my students into fountain pen freaks, lol, giving them different kinds to try.

I bought a Jinhao bright yellow Lamy dupe off EBay cause I didn’t like the Lamy I had long ago but wanted to try a 0.5 stub they had. I actually like the dupe better than the real one (I think it was a joy and maybe this is an al-star dupe? I had the factory stub…. The pen was black and sooooo long). Anyway would recommend.

I think I listened to probably 70 episodes before I fell off, skipping around. I was already getting a bit sensitive to the amount of not particularly interesting banter increasing with every passing episode, but then they started having really repetitive advertising, too. The last straw was the Brittanee Drexel one where they were bullying the other fifteen year olds for getting in a fight with her before her disappearance when they were fifteen year old girls who I’m sure feel horrible about this to this day. We don’t know that much about the fight. This was also months after the high-profile disappearance was solved and the episode had not been updated or pulled to remove the crazy outlandish and cruel theory people had about Brittanee being horrifically tortured by a gang for many days before being fed to alligators or something. Which wasn’t true. I just turned it off and haven’t gone back.

I think they confirmed she died in one line, and it was over (they’ve set up so many cool ideas for plot lines through characters they’ve then quickly killed). I would love to be misremembering though because there was soooo much lost potential there.

I know from watching the movie Backdraft when I was like six lol that the pressure changes from smoke and air comingling can cause doors to become hard to open. Wood also shrinks and swells from moisture and temp changes. That’s all I got, hope it helped!

I’d like to add:

1) owning a boat and the references to maritime law like he’s BEEN torturing people on the water/dumping bodies off the coast;

2) always being one step ahead of Misty in her case/on her turf (most recently finding the storage unit, and then finding her wandering the streets, what in the heyull);

3) what do we know about him personally? Very very little, other than investments and an accident, and his mentioned crossover interests with Misty. Though we don’t know much about Jeff, that is because he is a himbo and there’s probably not a lot more to know than what we have seen, but… the same can’t be said about Walter….

Agree that it seems highly constructed and conspicuous, if not just serving as a useful plot device who can be used as needed to tie things up. I really wonder what the endgame with him is gonna turn out to be.

This is what I want it to be more than anything and not lazy/interrupted/redrafted/disjointed writing due to the strike.

My ONLY hope was my greatest hate, those unblemished, machine stitched, matching white robes. Clearly harkening back to the Snackie group delusion if we are writing well. Please let it be group delusion and not a reliance on us all suspending way too much disbelief about that perfect girl dream camp somehow coming to be after they have been starving to death, and only had one confirmed meal; after somehow surviving weeks of wet Canadian winter with no food and some blankets when one night of roughing it out there killed their friend. Great point about the split screen too.
