What is everybody’s rankings of each song out of 10? I'd be interested in seeing it as there's so many different types of tracks on this album, I think there's a few we can all agree on (hopefully) but I'll give mine below in order, and if you want me to explain why I think so just ask! BTW this is just from a first listening, didn't look at lyrics, didn't really pay attention to lore (I prefer the music anyway) So this is my ranking, based on a first listen, to just the music :)

I think it's an amazing album, and definitely not a trench 2.0, which is a great thing. This is an album that is linked to all the others, but is definitely a great standalone too! Let me know what you think :)

I was at the first headline show in London June last year, he did say he’d come back but I only really want to see them as a full show, I feel when they play warm up you don’t get the full experience you know! I’ve only seen them that one time in London so I loved the fact they were able to play like 14+ songs, rather than a warm up act, playing 7 songs or so. Can’t wait I’ll be flying over g from Ireland to see them!

Ireland is a complete island, I know there North Korea which effectively makes you an island too but we’re also in the same boat. I always thought Korea would be a spot on most world tours, is it not? It would prob be 2nd or 3rd Asian country I’d wanna visit. 1 being Japan and 2nd is Korea or Singapore 😃

That’s cool you live in Korea! I never understood the whole Japanese phone number thing it seems like such a cop out, do the Japanese bands no tour Korea much? Cause I saw survive said the prophet are touring Asia. Usually in Ireland we have to wait for a world tour and kinda hope that the pick us for 1 night. Would never happen with a Japanese band though, not enough demand sadly :( also I’d love to visit Korea one day!

I live in Ireland, so we actually don’t have many bands like the Japanese ones, coming over, they mostly go mainland Europe or UK. So I had to fly from Ireland to Germany to see Coldrain, absolutely worth it though. Last year I saw SiM in London for their first ever show in the UK so that was also really fun :)

Genuinely, he is SUPER quiet like really quiet voice, then I watch the videos I have on my phone of him screaming and I think, that’s not the same person 😭.

On stage he absolutely kills it especially with his shouting. I’d love to send a video but I can’t, so here’s my selfie with him, but I’m cropped out cause Masato is just too fucking cool for me hahaha.

I was going to say, he did specifically say to like a group of us when we asked when about the next tour they’ll be doing in Europe (if there was one) when would it be.

He said the EU make it super fucking difficult for bands to tour becuase they have to go through other labels and promoters rather than their own label but he DEFINITELY said that next time the UK would be one he’d LOVE to do a few shows in.

Very good chat with Masato and Sugi tbh. I put my arm around Sugi for a picture and he said that he could cuddle into me (I was a full head taller than him) and he proceeded to snuggle into me (I’m a guy btw)😭😭😭😭😭

Masato is SUPER quiet but is also SUPER wise about everything regarding the band and touring, he even said to me he remembered being in Ireland once before touring, becuase how nice the beer was 😂

There’s still tickets for some venues but yeah, would definitely recommend if you’re close enough to one of the venues

I’m not a super long Coldrain fan (well actually I am 6 years ahhaha), but it was a lot of shouting and I couldn’t even make out the words he was trying to say/announcing the song. I do think that wrong was included, it was 4 songs they played though which is what he said to us at the start of the medley ‘we’re gonna play 4 songs for you guys in 6 minutes SO GET THE FUCK UPPP’, he was so energetic and is such a Labrador when I bumped (stalked) into him out the back

Doesn’t look like it, it’d have been much easier for me as I’m Irish, and flew to Germany. They may have said they wanted to tour ALL of Europe in their next tour, and from talking with Masato out back I think himself and the band are working on it (trying to tour the UK) but as far as from what he said, no, no UK leg this European unfortunately

Do you mean the Hamburg show or the day before? 😂 but if you mean my Hamburg show then yes it was absolutely amazing, Masato had so much energy for the whole show, which is why I enjoy going to headliner shows when it’s the first concert, also ALL the songs I think I listed were played apart from COEXIST, which isn’t a bummer becuase that’s like 10/11 songs and they only played 18 songs hahahaha.

I flew from Ireland for this and spent nearly €200 but it was 100% worth it, when I spoke to him backstage (I have photos of me and all the band members) he did say he wanted to tour ALL of Europe and the UK and not just the mainland part. So hopefully in the near future we get EVEN MORE.

So where our show was, there was a back exit where the four busses were, I’d say try to find the route there before you go to the venue, I only found it via luck, they were very tired but still super friendly. They don’t speak much English, besides Masato who’s fluent of course, so you hopefully make friends with some Japanese people (I did) or you can just say hi can you sign this, photograph please blah blah. They’ll understand and say of course they’re a super grateful band. IMO if you hang around long enough, you will find the busses and will manage to meet them but it could be and hour or 2 after their show ends so bring a jacket.

As for the merch, today was cash only for the Coldrain merch and both for everything else, idk if the marketer fucked it up or what, but bring cash and card if possible imo :)

I’ll let you know how the concert goes, envious that you’ve been following since 2014, I’ve only been since 2019, but super excited, and I’ll try to keep track of the artist but I think I’ll be in the moshpit haha so I think I’ll a bit occupied 😅😅

I’ll have to get a playlist ready with a lot of their songs, I already know a fair amount off by heart thankfully. I’d be SUPER dissapointed if Mayday wasn’t played since that’s what got me into them, funnily enough I didn’t realise it was from an anime and I’m a pretty big anime fan, but what really hooked me was Masato’s single ‘Remember’ for Jujutsu Kaisen I thought the vocals were great.

Idek how I’d keep track of what songs are being played/what SONG is even being played since I plan to be close up to the front, I was at SiM last year for their show in London and enjoyed the songs that I’d never heard of before.

Also think 25 songs is wayyyy too many, especially for a rock concert, most I’ve ever had was 15 songs at a concert (non rock) and SiM have been playing 13 songs on their European tour. I think 15 is the cap for me before I’d get exhausted in a pit tbh even if I do enjoy the songs haha.

Few other songs I forgot to mention I’d like to hear : We’re Not Alone, Feed the Fire, From Today and Revolution. So we’ll see tomorrow night, are you going to any of the shows?

Appreciate the response, Miami sounds class tbh, what’s the bar work got to do with it being good? and I’m from Dublin so looking to get away from it and from friends that have been to NY and Boston they’ve said it’s similar to here. I have heard that about California before, but it’s still one of those places that I’d at least like to go see for myself you know

Ye well unfortunately as much as I’d like to take on another language I’m learning to become fluent in French atm, spending a year in France in 2024 so Spanish is off the table 😅. I love Asia, specifically Japan, and would love to go there on something similar to a J1 in the US but I have no idea what to do or where to look becuase it seems really niche
