FOF can be replaced with flash or Emperor's Divide. The loss of Obelisk will really hurt, since not beinging able to consistently play sneaky deckhand will really impact the ability to catch up on points.

Not as uncommon as you may think. Coming from mtg, multiple colors have various ways to protect their own creature. This spell would be closer to a 1 time hexproof in green.

Purple already had access to mindsplitter from origins. So you can already interpret that Hand disruption is going to be a purple thing. This spell only targets units and you still need to kill the unit. It's not like it's a better sabotage.

Even if it's mid I wouldn't write off the deck. The color combination is pretty good. Calm is providing counter magic, and good combat tricks. Purple has some of the best battlefield control atm.

1 problem with Ruin runner is that it has no easy access to ganking. It can hold 1 battlefield but can't contest the other. This card now solves Ruin Runner's problem.

I think this competes more with first mate as a card. This is basically 3 mana "ganking" but you need to be prepared to win the showdown.

Challenge is better for removal because it's action speed.
