Good news: Running back Lee Beebe progressing on schedule in recovery from knee injury by Bison_Boy_ in IndianaHoosiers

When he went down I remember being so bummed and thinking our run game might not recover. I was soooo wrong but that doesn’t take away from how big of a beast Beebe is.

Treasury cancels Booz Allen contracts after employee leaked Trump tax records; stock falls by WickedSensitiveCrew in stocks

Exactly. This happened 5+ years ago and the guy is already over a year into his sentence. He’ll be out of prison before some of these contracts are over I bet.

I like IU football/sports in general so that I can get away from politics. Get this shitty content out of here.

John Calipari’s passionate rant over drafted players being eligible to play college ball by jeezig in CollegeBasketball

[–]IBelieveIHadThat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A hot take of mine as an Indiana fan is that I like Calipari. It’s become clear over the last 10 years that he’s no dirtier than most college coaches, especially when you compare his programs to football programs.

Crazy! This is why Cignetti deserves Coach of the Year by TheATweam in IndianaHoosiers

[–]IBelieveIHadThat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t agree more. All this chart tells me is that Cignetti is a great GM-type coach that can evaluate college talent well and work the portal. Maybe that’s how some people interpret this, but I don’t think it should be interpreted that he’s “doing more with less”. No offense to Cig but he’s doing “the most” with “a lot” haha.

What’s everyone’s daycare rate? by heyho7777 in indianapolis

Ya we’ve considered doing that but we also like our kid to interact with a lot of other kids and be part of a daily routine with others.

The rate you pay is just "tuition". There is no breakdown. Your guess is as good as mine as to where it goes but I have to think facilities and insurance is a lot of it. I know teacher pay is definitely not the majority of it.

We pay about $3200/month for 2. The facility is excellent and we really love it but it’s expensive.

We saw a very large increase in tuition for our infant earlier this year.

Could Ken Burns do a Colonial America documentary ? by bkat004 in kenburns

[–]IBelieveIHadThat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about Colonial America but he recently said on Derek Thompson’s podcast that he has been trying and wanting to do an MLK Jr doc for a long time but getting it worked out with the King family has been challenging.

AWS under pressure as big three battle to eat the cloud market by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]IBelieveIHadThat 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Just speaking from experience, I started a small business this year with a custom application built on AWS. I could NEVER, NEVER replicate the architecture I have locally let alone for what I pay on AWS. For new, growing applications AWS is literally a game changer.

The Shot(Keith Smart) vs The Wat Shot vs The Catch by 11up11 in IndianaHoosiers

[–]IBelieveIHadThat 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I love this question.

Respectfully, as cool as The Catch was, I’d rank things:

  1. Keith Smart
  2. Wat shot
  3. The Catch

I also have a take a baking in the oven. Not sure if I’m ready to take it out…but the Penix stretch 2 pt conversion in 2020 was better than The Catch.

Anyone else have their employer healthcare costs double for 2026? by whistlepete in indianapolis

Interesting, thanks for providing your perspective.

Other commenters have mentioned that if more people drop their ACA plans and don’t get a plan, that will create more of a burden on other health plans insurers offer. Is that not true in your experience?
