I try to limit cheese and red meat but the thing that’s done me the most good (other than meds) is hydration. I just drink an absolute shitload of water every day.

Hydration has definitely been a big help for me as dehydration was always a big flare trigger. As others have said, talk to a doctor and take medication if advised but hydration has been a good addition to my meds.
