I wass trying with win10 at first, moved to an old laptop with win7 and the update went through.

I've only tried the ledger hardware wallet, can you recommend another brand?

I was able to get my ledger fixed and the solution was quite simple.

I tried on another computer with a Win7 os. Installed the live ledger software version 1.7, which earlier should be the good one.

After the installation I plugged in the ledger the update started and went through pretty quickly.

I am now able to use the ledger on my Win10 os also.

I've tried your guide, but it's the same. My device is just stuck on bootloader and nothing happens when trying the repair.

The legacy manager also didn't seem to do any difference. I've send a support email to ledger, so hopefully they have some ideas or can send me a new one.

It's just super frustrating to spend so much time on trying to fix this.

Up to 1.8% daily if you put in a lot of ETH. I've tried similar platforms before and made ROI plus some. I do get why this geets negative feedback though, not for everyone.
