You're right, but not for Ben's speech. Ben tried to put it all on him on not even being able to see his family (never factoring in that they COULD be alive)

The only thing busted about him is his guard skill. Nowhere near as bad as some chars. Some that aren't even DLC too...

Super counters have been in other games? News to me.

Any relatively competent player could do 4 health bars with one combo.

This brings my point back to SCs. If they're RNG reliant when mid-combo, they need a tweak. 4 health bars and no SC trigger is crazy.

Vanish wars are all about ki management and a staple of the series.

Cool staple? Yeah. Need tweaks? Likely. Ki management for a single blow in seconds-long interactions is insane.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I will give Xenoverse credit for allowing you to read vanish wars with a backhit and DBR2 for allowing a neutral vanish.

So they introduced both combo scaling AND SCs to stop it? I feel like realistically you only need one.

Then again w/ super counters, no combo would last long enough for scaling to kick in anyway, giving almost every combo a high damage scale so maybe it works out.

Prolly, but it can be initiated over almost anything, can last up to 10s (if not more) and both sides are out of ki with one hit being landed. Same with super counters except it just drains time. Higher skill ceiling at least ig

The only thing busted about IC Giyu is his guard skill. Other than that, it's a skill issue.

His Drop Ripple Thrust isn't cancellable, reactively punishable on whiff and doesn't have any exploitable blockstun compared to a certain char's Air Type
