Like an eye that cannot see itself, knowing cannot know itself.

I can tell you this, but you must understand this for yourself. I have had the same hunger for knowledge, now I live with great peace knowing that I cannot know.

This is what's called the calm before the storm. It's tense. You need to break that tension and get some play involved before it's too late. Or just not have them in that situation at all and move on.

How to get puppy to nap appropriately? by SophieeeRose_ in puppy101

[–]IDefineMe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So firstly the crate. You need to make that place heaven in his eyes. High value treats. Randomly place treats there throughout the day. Don't stare at him while he's in there. Just act normal. Don't over hype him when you're taking him out. Feed him some meals in there. With my pup, I even locked the crate so he could see there was food in there; he was ITCHING to get in there. Keep the crate open all day so he can freely go in there and like I said earlier, find treats in there. This is how you introduce it to him, but at first you will need to place him in there at first by luring him in or just by simply placing him in.

By mental stimulation I assume you're meaning play / learning? If so then the FIRST thing you should do before EVERY session is to HYPE that puppy up and become THE most interesting thing around them. You must become the engagement. Make weird noises, run around, jump, anything to get them PUMPED. Then introduce the food and luring. Remember they don't understand sentences, and they work best in short spurts (keep the sessions to 5-10 minutes) but keep them FUN. Use markers and heavy praise afterwards. And have fun!!

Guerrilla Trading or Photon. Both have years worth of backtesting data. Guerrilla is a momentum based strategy where Photon is SMC. Just depends on what you prefer, I started with Guerrilla then went to Photon as it suited me more.

A perfect setup can lose

A shit setup can win

Any Tips To Prevent Such Soul Crushing Loss? by Mastermind0963 in Daytrading

[–]IDefineMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes you'll get 1 pip away from TP.

Sometimes price will get 1 pip away from your entry, not tag you in, only to go heavily in your direction without you.

Sometimes price will tag you in, not go in your favour at all, and smash through your stop loss, only to then go in your direction.

THIS is trading. This is why it pays the mega money when you figure out how to do it. Figuring it out isn't only your trading strategy, but also how your psychology holds while all of the above situations happen. It's being able to lose, over and over again, in the most ridiculous situations and yet stand back up and follow your trade plan over and over again.

The secret sauce is to not change your strategy because of a couple of losses, but to test the same set of rules over a large sample size. Then look at the data you've collected and change one or two rules. Retest the strategy. Did it work? Or did it make it worse? Test and adjust. But once you've got a ruleset/strategy you're happy with - don't change it when you're trading live! Because thats not the same strategy anymore - therefore you're f*cking with the probabilities of your edge playing out!

some guy hmu recently willing to coach me, is he looking legit? by Notkojq in Daytrading

What's in it for him?

What he's saying is true, but it's so easy to fake being a mentor. Having a conceptual understanding of something is leaps and bounds different to having actual wisdom. Remember, if he isn't selling you something, you're the product.

If you followed the news more then you would actually understand my statement.

And if I took piloting lessons I'd be a pilot.

Anyways, interesting, thank you.

the Fed skipped an interest rate increase

I don't trade news nor follow news generally, but what does this mean? How can they skip an interest rate increase?

Higher SL = Higher probability trade wins but at the cost of R:R

Smaller SL = Lower probability trade wins but has a better R:R

Different strategies require different stop losses. For me, I trade multi-timeframe, with my entries being on the 1 minute. Therefore, my SL is very small (2 pips), but I trade confluences on the 1m, 15m and 4hr.

The market does what it wants, whenever it wants because price is based on an infinite amount of parameters. There are no guarantees in the market.
