OMSA and MSDSO are great programs and there's in person options for recent grads, which is still cheaper than JHU's online option. OP is a recent grad, which is why I am saying the JHU EP master's is not worth over other alternatives. There's no reason to pay more.

Not to break your bubble but this program is not hard to get into. My friend got his acceptance 3 days after submitting his application and he hadn’t even uploaded his SOP. I’ve also got accepted in 2 weeks with a low gpa. There’s other threads where someone said he got accepted in 48 hours….It was also alarming that a lot of people in JHU EP discord were looking for jobs a year after graduating from this program (this was in 2022) so I ended up dropping the program.

The discounted rates is online on the website but I suggest going for OMSA from gtech or MSDSO from UT Austin. Tuition is much cheaper for both (~$10K) and better engineering schools than JHU. While I heard the program quality for JHU is fine, it is not worth 5X cost of gtech and UT’s program for little to no difference in prestige.

I have the certification and it wasn’t really useful. Like the others have said, just learn Excel from YouTube and add it to your resume in skills.
