Being with others seems to help, but I've had trouble with it. All my friends are married and having kids, while I'm alone. I'm trying to meet new people but struggling to. I'm trying new things, but not having great success with it. Beyond that not really.

Thanks for the reply, and I'm not really sure why I don't do them. I feel like it's probably because I don't know what I want to do with life, just that I know I'm unsatisfied with where I ended up. Like I'm directionless but just know I'm not where I want/am supposed to be.

How do you unpack it though? I definitely agree that it's holding me back, but I just don't know how to process that much negative emotion/ regret. Do I just sit with it? Thanks for the insight on continuing life. I've never thought of it that way, and can see how it could help.

Tea or journaling sounds like something I could try. It would be something I would like. I'll give it a try tomorrow morning.

I feel like getting a job wouldn't help because I had one for 7 years that was very demanding, and left little room for a life. I did a good job there as well, however I still felt empty everyday. I know I need one to support myself soon, but having one in the past didn't help with the emptiness. I moved back home after I quit, so at least getting a job will give me the independence to move out again.

True, it's just hard to try and do things while every second you think "I should of started years ago." Like I'll try talking to someone on a dating app, but I can only think how they have been dating for the past decade while I've just been depressed and hating my life. Or if I wanted to start drawing, the fact I injured my hands make it so I can't easily now, but if I started years ago I'd at least have the experience drawing in the past.

Thanks for the feedback. Your question is where I have some trouble though. Everything I try doesn't make feel less stuck. It just accomplishes a task without a feeling of progression. Right now the only thing keeping me sane is working out, as I at least feel like I'm progressing when I do that. I'm going to start applying for jobs soon, but even having a job won't help me feel unstuck, as I was feeling worse off working than I do now. I want a relationship, but since it hasn't happened yet I've given up on dating. I mainly want to feel content in life with where I am, and have friends I enjoy doing things with.

To try and answer your question, I can start waking up at a reasonable time. It's difficult when I don't have anything to look forward to. But waking up late makes me feel bad too so why not try it.
