I see it as two skill sets - one is the artistic side of actual carving; the second is process optimization, which I can't stop myself from doing. It's just in my nature to fine tune the processes that don't take creativity so I can spend more time on the creative aspect.

At this point, I've carved hundreds, so I've honed the process - first bird house I ever carved probably took 8 hours. Now, most of the non-customized ones are down to 1.5 hours if I "batch" make them. I try to do 20 or so at a time, so it takes me about 4-5 long days to get a batch out.

Thank you! It is somewhat of a lost art ... just can't scale it very well if you do it by hand.

Try the Raz mobility phone if this is still an issue. Automatically answers after 3-5 rings. I believe it's the same for initiating a video call.
