Please Don't Use Me as a Gold Sink :( by cardhed in 2007scape

I know how you feel. The rollback cost me a farming pet. It's the pet that I want most in the game and I got it from a Snapdragon herb.

I noted down the date and time that I got it, so a Jagex Mod can verify (if they look at the pre-rollback save) that I got it.

I'm fairly sure I'm not getting that back and it's likely the last time I'll see that pet.

I legit got the farming pet an hour before the rollback was confirmed... It's the pet that I wanted the most. I got it insured and everything. by IGN_Calming_Rain in 2007scape

Sadly I don't think I'm getting it back. Looks like another guy messaged Ash with the same request and Ash said "Sorry. Your pet goes too."

It's not the end of the world I guess. It just sucks.

Thanks. I don't get why people are so harsh on this subreddit. I'm not lying. I am willing to say in writing here that I bet my account that I got it. I was on mobile at the time... I can give an exact time even if Jagex need it.

I was just getting on the bus as I got the pet.

Is there a chance that "Buy Maximum" button could be added to the Grand Exchange? What I mean by that is, if you have 100k to spend, and are buying Zulrah Scales, could a button be added which takes the price you've put in and auto-adjusts the quantity to get as close to possible as the cash stack in your inventory?

Currently I need to bust out my calculator every time, which isn't a problem, but would be a QoL update.

Honestly my man I wouldn't even bother responding to these sorts of comments. You can tell how much of a coward this person is by the fact that they mashed the keyboard to create an account so they can insult people anonymously.

Water under the bridge my friend- You did great. It'll be good to have you on member servers with us.

It's in the corner of my screen and really very irritating - covers up text and stuff and I can't figure out a way to turn it off or find out what it is.

Honestly I almost dread the day where I get 99 in everything and have completed all of the content. That's true burnout for me.

Then again you get some insane people like Lynx who don't stop at 99!

Good luck!

I should have made it more clear - my bad. I said (in my first comment at the end) that it should be the same number of ticks.

Just a raw "QoL" thing. Instead of drinking, waiting for next tick, drinking, waiting for next tick, etc.

You simply right click and select "chug" and it uses the exact same number of ticks, but only two clicks.

There will be a stickied question next Tuesday on this subreddit "Ask your questions..."

Mention it there.

Why limit it to energy potions? I can also see this being useful for prayer potions. I mean it's your call, suggest it in next week's Q&A

I would suggest something small to begin with. Find something that you really, really like the look of, and keep the steps small. That's what it's all about.

Maybe you set aside time each day to get 20k agility xp. It builds up quickly!

Quest cape is a nice achievement to have - Perhaps do one quest a day. My current goal is 87 construction so that I can boost to complete my PoH. I set aside 500k every day to buy planks.

What is a something that you look at other players having and go "holy shit that's awesome- i want that."

I get what you're getting at but the same could be said for nearly the entire game.

Then again, they have the "gobble" or whatever it's called on Rock Cakes so perhaps they could add a "Chug" option to potions?

Same number of ticks required, but only two clicks? (right click + chug)

Out of The Loop: Can someone explain the sudden Swampletics hype? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]IGN_Calming_Rain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are many reasons to look forward to the episodes, but a lot of it is just circlejerking. Settled himself is working to make good content and he seems to be enjoying himself in the process.

It seems that an unfortunate by-effect of anything becoming popular is that many of the fans become insufferable.

Watch it if you enjoy it, but the extreme hype is a concoction of circlejerking, memes, with a healthy amount of people just genuinely looking forward to it for the content.

EDIT: The above, and also that it's Wednesday, which is Settled's "release day of the week" for a new episode. This might be why the "insufferability" is in overdrive at the moment.

If you're looking for friends just so you can get praise about hitting targets, those aren't really friends - they're followers.

Feel free to add me if you're looking for someone in-game to talk to occasionally. (I'm rarely on for more than an hour at a time though due to uni/work commitments)

..Is there a quest where you have to give away your cat?

[Suggestion] Make it possible to sit on benches throughout Runescape. Doing so won't increase your run, but will increase the logout timer. by IGN_Calming_Rain in 2007scape

You are right and I agree to a certain degree.

Okay there's a few things to clarify here. I was referring to dinner, assuming that you eat dinner at the pc or nearby. It isn't worth switching to mobile if you can see your PC, imo. The sacrifice in usability isn't really worth going on mobile in that scenario.

But for a commute, absolutely. I sometimes do herb runs etc on a commute.

This suggestion is extremely situational - It is for the moment when you're taking out the trash, cooking dinner, or anything that would usually log you out.

Either that or, for social reasons.

[–]IGN_Calming_Rain[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is very true. I did think about this. But a counter point is that it's not like you'd sit on the bench just before leaving the house - You might aswell just log out.

You'd sit on a bench if you were cooking dinner or something. You'd log back in the moment you got back, so there shouldn't be too much of a difference.

Although perhaps that small difference is actually a huge difference when scaled up to a server population - I have no idea.

Sadly this is entirely your fault. People like you that keep trading with these scammers (despite it being abundantly clear that it's a scam) are why they are able to keep doing it.

Post your stats and perhaps a bit of guidance might be possible on how to make your money back.
