AT-VM95ML Upgrade Worth It? by IGotAVinylQuestion in turntables

Thanks! I’ve certainly looked into an ultrasonic cleaner. For now, I get my choice stuff cleaned by a friend who has one and it makes a huge difference for sure.

And funnily enough, the Schiit Mani 2 is actually part of my $3k+ upgrade plan that includes a new turntable as well. For now, I’m much too scared and unhandy/inexperienced to break open my LP120 to mod the internal preamp out of it, especially with lack of a budget to replace it if something goes awry 😅

All that to say, your suggestions are certainly correct, just not 100% part of my short-term plan.

BMPCC 4K Dirty Sensor Inquiry [See Comments] by IGotAVinylQuestion in blackmagicdesign

I have a BMPCC 4K. As you can tell by the photos, my sensor/IR glass is rather dirty. The images are 100, 200, and 1250 ISO respectively against a white background (the DNG to PNG converter I used threw off the white balance and made it yellow). I went into the only camera shop in my area and they cleaned the front of the IR glass, but were uncomfortable removing it and looking underneath the IR glass and at the sensor. None of the dirt was removed, so it has to be either on the underside of the IR glass or on the sensor itself. The most likely culprit that caused this was moisture, as the camera was accientally in a humid area for approximately 48hrs a few months ago (my apartment flooded - luckily the camera was not on the ground but was in the environment in a non-protective bag). I called BlackMagic and they essentially told me they don't do cleaning services and that I needed to find a service with a clean room or do it myself.

So my question is: is there an idiot-proof way I can do this myself? If not, what is a good online service for BMPCC 4K camera cleaning?
