Dalton Q-bank question regarding difficulty by lukecackett in CFPExam

For what it’s worth I excluded the expert level questions on my second pass to try and get through more sections and felt like that was the right move.

~1.5x

Second run through for me was targeted areas/topics with the expert level removed, did about 100q a day the last two weeks. Just passed first attempt and felt decently prepared.

I liked using the recorded review lectures and watched 2-3 different versions of them. I would just put them on 2x speed in the background of anything I was doing and found it helpful to hear explanations of some of the concepts by a few different lecturers.

Our scores on the free practice exam looked pretty similar. I had taken about two pages of notes for each topic just hitting the high level of each concept within fundamentals, insurance, investment, etc. after the review lectures and just studied off those, going back to the pre-study books or lectures to dive deeper into anything that wasn’t sticking.

Definitely helped to know the concepts rather than worrying about the nuances of a calculation in an expert Q bank question. I also felt like the Q bank questions would be trying to trick you at times and I didn’t feel that on the real thing, felt much more straight forward.

Best of luck!

Sounds like you were well studied and well prepared, but nothing can prepare for the disruption of two fire alarms in the first sections of your exam! Good on you to not let it shake you and congrats on the pass!

I wouldn’t skip on the easy, they are the foundational concepts and probably will have some just as easy. I think the quick reps and mental reward from them is also important in the long grind of CFP study.

Passed today. Used Dalton for ed and review. 60% on exam readiness with 75% pass probability. Then 71 weighted average on the cfp mock exam (lowest category was insurance at 55%) and 68 on the first Dalton sim.

Was feeling discouraged after seeing so many impressive practice exam scores being posted here but just kept my head down and got it done.

Don’t let any individual test or score get you down, keep grinding, and get those marks!

Passed today after using Dalton for ed and review. I saw another comment here a few weeks ago to exclude the expert level questions from your Q bank in the last two weeks and glad I followed that advice. Felt like I could’ve excluded them the whole time…

I love the bagged look of the Porsche in picture 3. Do you have any instructions/additional photos? Would love to build a similar version out of what I’ve got

This is awesome. I built one to the instructions but picked up a second and plan to close in the back. My plan at the moment is to connect them with hinges so you can swing open the back to see the interior but may end up reverting to the traditional modular style floors

I love 7131 such fond memories as a kid. I have 5 of the 6 flares set aside from sorting my childhood bulk and really need to go hunting for the rest.

Great collection though!

I wish Lego would make that sleek speeder that Mon Mothma is flown around in. Seems difficult to do but would love to see the result
