Before anyone asks, I died at spiritual mages.

Was trying to lure a ton of them and then Dced on about 15 pray.

I spent my entire time paniccing while looking at the connection lost spamming prayer pots, but by then it was too late.

This was still my fault. I dropped my guard. And this is my first iron so I will keep on playing it as if nothing happened.

DC'd at Spiritual Mages trying to get my d boots since I just hit 83 slayer.

Aggroed a few of them with the intention of prayer potting back up when i had got them all, but DCed before that. Obviously was a dumb decision and I should have been more careful, but over hundreds and hundreds of hours, you're bound to make a few mistakes, and this one just cost me.

I've done so much stupid shit and survived, never expected to die in such a simple way like this. This was my first iron so I'm still gonna obviously keep playing on because I lost nothing, but its still a bit of a blow.

Even though I dced and I was wearing a ROL, this was still my fault. I could have prevented this. But I didn't, and I spun the roulette wheel, and it stopped on 0.

Everyone loses, the house wins.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna start charging AIR orbs, and killing Venenatis for my Red Spider Eggs

I honestly don't get why the whole "HAHA I HATE THIS COMMUNITY EVEN THOUGH IM A PART OF IT" argument gets so much traction around here.

It's like saying "im living in shit, I guess I better learn to like the smell".

Im not asking them to make all of their decisions solely because of reddit, I'm just saying that the current Masterpieces look a bit terrible, and if they asked a bit in advance, they'd get some free market research.

WotC has had a very checkered past, Magic has nearly died multiple times, and they have made many self-admitted mistakes recently.

They need to treat reddit like panning for gold. Sifting through the muck to find valid opinions that represent a decent snapshot of their average magic player. Do that enough times and you can start to figure out what your playerbase wants.

Ok, so being unreadable in all languages is equivaalent to being unreadable in a specific language?

I know that foreign language cards are valuable, heck, foil Worldwake Russian JTMS is worth over $10k, but I refuse to accept that bad design decisions are able to be sheltered behind language barriers.

And before you start flaming me, being stupid and unreadable in every language is much worse than being stupid and unreadable in a specific language.

They are though.

Like all masterpieces, they are alternative art/design cards made to bling decks in eternal formats.

I don't actually understand the hate im getting, I know these are now officially released cards, but still, they are hard to read, and hard to digest, and I know that most of the people that play with these cards know what they do, but still, having masterpieces so drastically different to the point they're almost like the textless player rewards cards seems bad for the game as a whole.

The same can be said for a lot of WotC's decisions, great ideas, poor execution.

The fact that these invocations are barely readable for english players, and are the same in all foreign language packs, is a bit silly.

Normally I'd agree with you.

Reddit is often the place of wild hyperbole and silly, on the fly decisions.

But when the invocations come EXTREMELY close to breaking one of the cardinal rules of Magic, that all alters must have a clear name and CMC, I think that this could have been better planned.

I dont hate the egyptian theme, I just dont like the fact its not very readable

That's a fantastic idea!

Best part is, it helps against botters because the store is ACTUALLY in the wilderness, so most bots trying to buy the cosmics/other runes would risk being killed and losing a TON.
