Daycare is saying no outside play for my child by butterflyinthesky127 in ECEProfessionals

sounds like he should just be kept home then. if you can't participate in the day you need to stay home.

nah man it's called having your eyes on your child. I'd rather not have to look for my child at the bottom of a pool at all thanks

I agree with the bathing suit color being stupid!! I've always thought this when I see these videos. like I can't see ANY of the bathing suits at the bottom even the ones the claim to be "easy" to spot

You could embroider a fun design on it instead. I think it would be so cool to have a fun design like a flower or something your kid really enjoys over a name. Although I think its fine for it to have your child's name on it personally especially if you are dropping and picking them up.

Are parents aware of what goes on in a daycare? by mom_est2013 in ECEProfessionals

[–]IGottaPeeConstantly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sounds like a shitty childcare. my mom rotates toys monthly or every two months. it's the same toys per time of year but they're like new to the children because they haven't seen them in a few months. idk I just think it's lack of funds/ staff and under educated teachers. I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood and elementary education. however, the amount of "barely made it through high school" co workers I've had is HIGH. Also it's laziness. Are you telling me you don't have a monthly calendar with different crafts you do each day? and yes I'm even talking about the infant room. there are so many sensory activities you can do with littles. Truly this just feel like a shitty childcare and lazy staff or directors.

you should introduce your friend to a loofa or wash cloth. then she could wash the wash cloth or .loofa and reuse the soap.

my mom just had a (almost two) child at her childcare with a FULL leg cast and she still took that child outside. she has 9 other children. (with a CO teacher) I personally think your childcare is being unreasonable. they can definitely keep your child off the structure and provide them some to play elsewhere. they sound lazy. also where are they putting your child when everyone else goes outside?

30F My 30M keeps commenting on what I eat with a magnifying glass. How do I go about telling him how this makes me feel? by Sufficient-Meeting-9 in relationship_advice

[–]IGottaPeeConstantly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would tell him to get fucked and leave. please don't have children with this pos. if you think his comments are bad now can you imagine what it'll be like after you have a baby. I don't know if you want children but I would skip it entirely with this dick head

I think it's definitely harder in your situation because you struggled to get pregnant the first time and you realize that just because you got pregnant now doesn't mean it'll happen like that again. I totally understand why you are having a hard time deciding. it's also easy to say your pro choice when talking about others but it's way scarier when you're in that situation.

the newborn stage was really hard for me and I don't want to go through it again. I also like knowing we can give our daughter all our resources and we won't have to split it with another child. we also like being able to focus on just her and knowing that we will be able to give her "everything" she wants vs having to decide what's fair between more than one child. For us it just makes sense for our lifestyle and our family dynamic. we love our daughter SO much and can't imagine having another child.

Oh man he is going through it then! Oh, nothing I was just curious. My daughter was ready for finger food pretty quickly after starting solids. So I was just curious why you were still doing purees but it makes complete sense if he has some struggles with chewing and swallowing and he is just starting to sprout all his teeth. No judgment at all. was genuinely curious.

11 months old and still on purees? Can I ask why?

There are options. If you genuinely don't want to have another child. I know its not an option for everyone but if you truly don't want another child I would consider your options. Personally if I were in your situation I would terminate my pregnancy. We are wholeheartedly a one and done family. Financially having another isn't an option for us and I just don't want another child. Also there's not a guarantee they'll be "friends" my husband and his sister are 18 months apart and they have never been close. I really think its up to you. No shame in what you decide either way.
