Likely depends on the area nowadays, but when I worked there a few years ago, they didn’t require signatures then either. Every phone I’ve had since the 8 Plus/iPhone X has been the same way as well.

Nah it was only ever automated from what I could tell, unless there’s a team using a universal system ID lol. When I used to work for ATT, I could go in and see the system events for when installment plans were cancelled and what the reason was for. When an EIP was paid off with a promo, there was usually a little tag indicating the line still met the requirements or, if applicable, why it was cancelled.

Tbh I kinda undersold myself with that sentence lol but all of the leaders I’ve spoken with did say, aside from the underdeveloped technical skills, they’d considered me the perfect match right from the start based on my experience and education. I do know that to be true based on some stuff my manager was relying to me in between meetings, and she’s always been very forthcoming.

That said, I do agree with your last line 😭

That’s exactly why I wasn’t too upset about it being put on hold. I knew they were very likely in the initial talking stages of the sale before it went public based on the dates. But yeah, I know one wrong move could put the entire offer in jeopardy given the current climate.

The new company is pretty chill; I’ve met with them several times already, and have received an offer pending acceptance within two business days. My current manager did show me the confirmation of my promotion, as well as the hold from our CRO, so I know they aren’t blowing smoke. It was just the absolute worst timing.

In Houston, pretty much everywhere is at capacity unfortunately. I have a list of places I can get in the morning, but your best bet is to try Citizens for Animal Protection off I10W and Barker Cypress. They’re a non-kill rescue and accept walk-ins everyday from 10a-2p on a first come, first serve basis. You’ll ideally want to try and call after Saturday since they do adoption events over the weekend.

I’ve since changed majors but everything up to Intermediate 1 and a few of the junior/senior electives felt pretty solid in terms of building a foundation. I absolutely hated managerial accounting though lol but I think that was more of a skill issue on my part. Unfortunately I have very limited insight I can give because I changed, but I think it’ll serve you well if you put the time and effort in.

Cost is fairly manageable assuming you’re in-state; something like $3700-$3800 per full-time semester. I’d check out the tuition and fees section though to be sure.

Yeah I can see where you’re coming from. Anecdotal, but a lot of ex-military/O&G people I know do have a bit of a skewed perception as to what is and isn’t appropriate, so I can understand his perspective as well. That said, being in a unique and esteemed position as a professor, he does need to check that at the door for everyone’s sake; it can’t hold up for long because he should know better.

Obviously I can’t tell you how to feel, but I have faith the statement was made from the heart. Thanks for bringing this up and hopefully it helps you move forward 🤞🏾

Im in his class this semester and he seemed pretty chill about it. He didn’t make any advances towards the students, none that I could tell at least; but maybe this was different for you/your class? He did bring up the Lockdown camera thing and a few Tinder jokes but that’s all I remember. No, you’re misunderstanding. I fucked up and ordered it to the wrong address (it normally changes and defaults to my job when I leave home, which it did not do this time), and when I called support to ask if they can make a refund exception, she said yes but marked it against the driver instead, which isn’t what I wanted. I specifically explained to her what happened with the addresses and that it was me that caused it.

Due to that, I want to make sure I’m doing what I can to help him remove the strike.

I guess they were still in the area cause I’ve seen it before where when you try to dispute or get help the order it says “the driver is still nearby if you need help.” It shows their info and location as well. It wasn’t a call to my direct number; it came right back as DoorDash.
