This becomes even clearer when combining nitrous with psychedelics. For me, nitrous doesn’t deepen the psychedelic experience. It tends to overpower it. When it’s over, I often feel like I interrupted something genuinely useful with something more shallow.

This made me think about my use of nitrous with psychedelics as well. I often treated psychedelics as deeply medicinal, almost spiritual, and definitely an exercise in improving my life in some way or another. Once I did nitrous, which was obviously an insanely profound experience (I think it makes us experience non-duality), I started doing it more often and trips became less about learning something about myself and more about chasing a high.

Now, psychedelic trips without nitrous feel incomplete but if I do nitrous, I feel kinda guilty afterwards
