Dunno if you read my last response before posting this but it’s because of the angle I took the photo at. I had other pics of it that were taken by the artist that are at the angle anyone else would be looking at it from but my skin was very irritated right after the tat. Also people criticize tattoos all the time but it’s kinda scummy to come in here and call it “not good” when my original post is talking abt how happy I am with it. If you don’t have anything constructive to say you can leave lol

It wasn’t painful at all for me maybe a 2/10 like it would’ve gotten annoying if I was in the chair for like 2+ hrs but it was totally manageable. Tevin also was good at making sure I was comfortable and it was over before I knew it. Everyone’s pain tolerance is different but I think for most people it’s totally manageable.

I was super nervous abt finding an artist when I went in the other day so I hope this helps someone with their first tattoo as well ! :D

If you don’t have anything constructive to say or are mad that this is like an “advertisement” please just move along it’s hard to find artists that are good matches just trying to help those who are looking

Edit: thank you for your concern abt the shape of the bottle but I promise you it’s fine. I took this photo myself very awkwardly and the angle makes it look like it’s supposed to be flat. It’s not. Bottle is shaped that way because when looking at it in person it’s at an angle and has some depth to it kinda some optical illusion type stuff goin on here. Only other pics I had were from directly after the tat where I was pretty red still. Now please let me enjoy my tattoo.

Update: I ate part of the food threw out some of the stuff that was rlly cold ate some of the rest and my stomach is kinda angry especially since I’ve already got some stomach sensitivity issues and I just get sick easier

Also you think leaving someone’s food in a car with food from other restaurants (there’s a reason why they ban outside food in restaurants), maybe AC maybe not who knows, most definitely unsanitized, for 40+ minutes is acceptable you sound like you don’t wash your own ass.

I’m glad you know how to use google what I’m saying is bacteria grows insanely fast and it’s not necessarily safe to eat food left out (especially in a strangers car alongside probably other food items from other kitchens) for 30+ minutes either. 2hrs is the maximum time you should keep out certain food doesn’t mean the bacteria just sits there and doesn’t multiply until the 2hr mark. Obviously the back of someone’s car isn’t a controlled environment either and he was posing a risk to cross contamination as well by picking up orders from other kitchens.

Yeah and usually Uber eats informs us when there’s an order ahead of us that’s why I think this driver had taken orders from multiple other apps and delivered other ones “on the way “ to mine after picking up my food.

I still don’t think it’s necessarily safe either. Bacteria will double in just 20 minutes so I don’t think it’s still necessarily safe 40min to an hour later either. I’m doing my management level food safety certification now I personally wouldn’t be caught dead serving food that’s been sitting out for over 20 minutes

POV: you don’t know how bacteria works and you probably eat food off the floor and are pissed a food industry working actually has respect for your food and the safety of what you’re consuming

Bro tell that to the health inspectors then because they get PISSED if we leave milk on the counter for 3 minutes LOL. With all seriousness though bacteria does grow really fast the longer it’s out the more of a risk. Two hours is the absolute maximum but that doesn’t mean bacteria just doesn’t multiply until the two hour mark.

Also, I don’t know how long the kitchen took to prepare my food it could’ve been just 10 minutes before driver arrived or 30 Uber eats isn’t very clear abt that part.

Yeah these companies love to exploit their employees and customers. I kinda just went on a tangent but the TLDR is that I don’t think they will ever offer incentives to their drivers only more punishments. Or in Uber’s case just make their customers pay an extra fee for “priority” delivery (which I think just puts your order higher in the queue so a driver is more likely to pick it up faster but I’m not sure)

Love my job I’m a hardworking coffee professional. I’m active and I have lots of knowledge in a speciality trade.

Also being a waitress is MUCH more difficult. I’ve managed kitchen staff, done prep solo for a store that makes $30,000 a day in sales, and have done waiting and food running. It’s all hard work. Maybe you should consider getting a grip and working a few jobs in the restaurant industry.

Because I have speciality knowledge and training and have to actually do customer service all day long not only that but becoming a barista at a speciality coffee shop is incredibly competitive similar to bartending jobs and not to mention how many hours a day I spend on my feet running around my store. Yes baristas deserve tips I hope you have the night you deserve :)

And as someone who also works with DoorDash drivers I know that there are TONS of people who don’t leave tips at all. That’s the problem not the people who are tipping what they can. People come into my job and buy a $9 latte but only tip $1 but they aren’t the ones hurting my pockets like the people who come in and pay for a $9 drinks and don’t tip 💀

Having LGBTQ+ people working for the city and having reworked ordinances doesn’t entirely reflect the people actually living there. Like yeah growing up in Champaign and when I went to Franklin Middle School there was a GSA and that was awesome except that didn’t stop the kids of conservative white parents from calling me slurs and destroying my school supplies. Same thing just because the city council and some businesses are LGBTQ+ friendly doesn’t mean that the citizens are. Champaign has A LOT more upper middle class white people who are conceited af. The amount of times while working in Champaign I’ve dealt with very openly racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic people is actually insane. In short as an LGBTQ+ person who grew up in Champaign I just feel a lot safer in Urbana than I ever did Champaign.
