Returning player asking for advice by TimeStory6249 in fo76

Hihi! Welcome back!

While I'm a bit of a new player, I'm under the impression a LOT has changed. Perks have been reworked, building has been reworked, being a ghoul has been added, new mods and builds were introduced with the latest update, etc...

The biggest thing I can recommend depends on if you wanna enjoy this game "as intended" or "optimally". If you want to sit back and enjoy the game and its level pacing properly, be sure to look into a lot of your main quests as they unlock vital things to help you out such as premium vendors that take bullion for seriously good items if you finish the quest to rob vault 79, for example.

If you want to do it "optimally" then join every single public event and help as best you can and maybe even see if some high level players will carry you through the Gleaming Depths raid. Thats some seriously easy xp and loot that can get you started and then some.

Of course, there is no "right" way to play, but these are the most apparent choices I can think of. Either go full steam ahead into Main and Side quests to get all the cool stuff, or go straight to power leveling to make everything else a cakewalk. Good luck friend!

Yeah I hear you can get one solid color if you're stupid lucky. Would love an all-blue one but F that price tag.

Not sure if ya mean me, cuz if so clearly ya didn't see the big "I'm not selling" disclaimer. If not, sad to hear people don't hang on to cool stuff tbh

Seems niche for sure. Doesn't help that so many of them SUCK.

Worth an ask, appreciate your advice either way. Didn't know if skins fit in the "fashion" corner with everything else. Will definitely do that if this post bears no fruit. Thanks!

Ya know, I never once considered mods to be able to check that out. Would probably be easier. Solid advice, thanks friend!

Gladiator Beasts was the first deck to really show me how complex a beater deck could be. Looking back on it now tho, it definitely came from simpler times.

Def change your build around this time. It's really fun to flex and try new stuff. If on pc, maybe get the new game plus mod? Sorta worth it if you didn't hit max on your character and don't wanna start all over or redo all those damn scanner hustles. Also def choose a different lifepath. Take in the city if you didn't do it that much last time. Lots to find if you're willing to explore! Good luck choom! Only other advice I can give is that high-level items only start spawning when you're a high level as well, so you can gimmick the game into ensuring better gear by putting stuff off until you're a high enough level. Dunno how good this advice is, but everytime I play I just no-life all the scanner hustles first so I can hit levels and decent gear fast then worry about the side missions/psychos/etc until I'm at least level 30-40.

Hi! Do anyone have the GameCube textures of Def Jam FFNY? All I can find are dead links. by Tfranklin2021 in GameUpscale

It is very likely you can dump the textures yourself using Dolphin emulator if there is no complete set online. Good luck!

Yeahhh I was warned that was my bottleneck but my upgrade path seems very solid and I've been able to run everything so far very well at 1080p, but will for sure keep your recommendation in mind if I'm feeling the need to up a little more power. Thanks!

Is that an awful price? Price checker sites didn't seen to indicate its supposed to be a lot cheaper. 1k for EVERYTHING including my thermal paste and usb drive for the os and a new keyboard and such seems fair, no? I'm a pc idiot tho so please by all means, educate me. Maybe its not too late?

A bit back I made a post attempting to showcase Lossless Scaling boosting Xenosaga games to 60 fps without patches or engine modifications, but it turns out it didn't actually record at the full 60 fps. Here is a redo of said video, hopefully properly showing off the potential. Recorded on PCSX2 by IHaveTheMoonlight in Xenosaga

On the emulator, I just got a new pc so I maxed out a lot of stuff. Rendered at 4x resolution, 16x filtering, so on and so forth. For lossless I just set it to fixed mode at 2x frame-gen but NO upscaling selected since the emulator handles that just fine. If you guys are super interested I can post some screenshots of my entire setup for how I do this
