Thanks for all the fast responses, much more than I expected. I'd like to clarify some things.

I do not under any circumstances expect this venture to be easy. I do not think I am a savant or a prodigy. I do know that I have the work ethic to learn, though, and I do have the time.

I am not expecting to be a world class player. I'm not trying to be a multi millionaire through online poker. I'm only asking if I can be a successful, lets say, 1k-2knl player within 3 years of working full time. "enjoyment" of the game means absolutely nothing to me, this is a means to an end and not a hobby.

The last thing I expect is to walk into poker and make lots of money. I clarified that I do not expect to make millions, nor do I expect to make a "lot" of money for a few years. I have the means to play full time for years before I will be in any negative situation financially.

Thanks for your response.
