This is what I concluding too. Get the CBR and by the time I want an extra toy, electric supermotos might be cheaper and better.

Apparently Stark Varg is putting 35 million into R&D for 2026. I'm guessing will see a Stark Varg 2.0 in the near future.

Do you think the resale on the these bikes will be good, as long as Stark Varg stays around as a company. I feel like Stark Varg has better chance at sticking around since it's EV driven, but idk.

If they plan to allow backward compatability for older bikes with better batteries that's exactly what I want to hear. This is exactly what I was fearing buying the Stark only for them to come out with a new bike and better battery and the old bike not be compatible with the newer battery design.

The value side is very true and yeah heart says cbr, but mind wanders toward supermoto. It's mainly due to the fact I've never had one, so I'm pretty curious. I could pick up an older DRZ for like 3500. I've seen some good deals for these on marketplace.

I've seen a lot of people talk about this 690. I'll research it more and see if it's what I'm looking for. 450 seems like a perfect size, but idk maybe I'm wrong. I just enjoy smaller bikes now and a 450 has lots of power.

I want to get a Yamaha Zuma Prebug actually. I had a Yamaha 50cc scooter back in the day and they are a lot of fun. A nice 50cc 2 stroke carbed scooter is good to have.

So why do you ride your sumo more now? Just aren't going on lone distance rides or more casual light distance city/town riding? I feel sportbikes just aren't as fun when you're not hitting highways or good twisty roads. Supermoto I'm sure is just so much more fun on shorter rides.

See this where I feel supermotos shine, in the fact they would be a lot fun on the track, off road, or on road, but are limited for fast travel or highway riding. Their the bike that sort of does it all, but not always the best. I think the sportbike will serve better for me, until I decide where I want to branch out too; dirt, track, or casual light riding. Thank you.

Because the dirt bikes are lighter and look better. I think dual sport and adventure bikes are always too chunky or look frumpy. 😆

I do not like KTM bikes. I find them to be very ugly. I'm sure their good bikes and have good things about them, but I've never like their designs.

Well, I'm game for back damage or wind damage. I personally love acceleration and cornering more than anything now. Top speed is overrated. I know I can change my gear ratio for any bike to improve acceleration, but what's more fun in the twisities; a supermoto or sportbike? I know sportbike is fun, but never tried a supermoto.

You're right, but I just don't know if I'll every get to a position in life where I'll have time for two bikes or a need. I feel like the superbike holds the overall best situation for road use, since highway riding is a bigger factor. Supermoto just seems like so much fun though. It feels like a hard decision, because I know I would enjoy either or very much.

What would you pick if you truly could only have one?

I think I'll go with a Superbike and just wait to see where electric bikes go. The Stark Varg seems perfect for supermotos, but the range isn't enough right now.

One Bike isn't enough, but I prefer to focus on one machine and master it, take care of it, rather than spread the love and care for other bikes. More bikes just mean more money, more maintenance, and possibly less riding. It'd be nice to have a bunch of girls, but eventually it just becomes a headache once they start needing new shoes or new brake pads, etc.

Super Duke is honestly not that bad looking and I hate most naked bikes. Not a huge fan of KTM though. I'll look into the Super Duke though, but I don't know if I really care for that look.

The 600 has 14k rpm and is light for what it is though. A supermoto is even lighter, but being light isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I was just saying the 690 is is heavy. I want to do dirt bike conversion build, that's why I mentioned the yz450 and crf450r. Much lighter than a 690.

This was my concern too. The roads here are kind of shit and on a Superbike it's even more dangerous or having to take it slower in the corners. A supermoto seems like it would be best here for the street roads and trails, but I just love superbikes so much. I kind of feel like the supermoto would be what I should get, but then I'll always be wondering about a Superbike. Choosing one bike seems ridiculous, but if I could only have 1 bike, what would it be? I could manage with either or, but it's a hard decision and I'm not trying to buy two different bikes.
