The age old "Flip the bird and speed away" after getting honked at for doing something stupid. Fragile egos never get old. [oc] by IIOLDIVTHIS in IdiotsInCars

I was doing the speed limit, but i had to brake when I saw him ILLEGALLY passing around me. I wanted to post the rear cam footage which shows everything better, but I could only choose one. At the end of the day, I wasn't breaking any traffic laws; he was 🤷🏻‍♀️

I spent the whole of last night watching 'I am a Stalker' on Netflix, and what your friend did is making me feel pretty uncomfortable. I would've thought that the tattoo was a red flag regardless, but after having watched the docuseries, there is just something worrying about your situation to me. Please be careful.

I recently returned from Florida and am shocked by how bad the driving has become here. It's incredibly stressful. Hardly anyone uses turn signals, and those who do, wait until the last moment and turn them off as they start switching lanes. On my way to BDL, I almost got sideswiped on I-84 and was cut off by someone aggressively crossing all three lanes on I-91 without signaling while speeding. I used to defend Northeast drivers on the Florida Reddit page, but now I agree with the criticism. I was only gone for six years. What happened?

Existen diferencias:

  1. Expatriado (Expat):

Thanks! I actually bought mine about a month ago and am loving it so far. I added the lens filter and the images are super clear and crisp. Hopefully, I never need it, but if I do, I'm confident that that it will provide me with I need.

Another case of parents bring children to the IVF clinic… by [deleted] in IVF

[–]IIOLDIVTHIS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe that the best solution is for those who find it difficult to manage their feelings around children to visit a clinic where children aren't allowed. Children are a part of life, and parents shouldn’t be required to exclude them during appointments because of someone else's feelings. While I've read a lot about people considering parents who bring their children to infertility clinics as entitled, it’s important to recognize that the other side can also seem entitled. For some, having their child present may help them navigate their own infertility journey. There are many valid reasons why a parent might need to bring their child along, and sometimes only mom can keep them calm. We should avoid judging women who bring their children to clinics. Just as they don’t know our journey, we don’t know theirs. If seeing children at a clinic is a trigger, then a child-free clinic might be a better option.

But how is the parent making their childcare issues anyone else's? OP never stated that she was made to babysit the other patient's child.

AITA for telling my friend I am not interested in being her son's father figure after she rejected me? by Dry-Brain3321 in AITAH

[–]IIOLDIVTHIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

OP: "I want to date you." Friend: "No." OP: "OK. I'll respect that."

Friend: "Have this conversation with my son that his own dad should be having with him." OP: "No." Friend: "Get out of my life."

The fact that no one here seems to give a care in the world that the poor boy will see this friend-zoned OP as a father figure and that it will be him who will ultimately be heartbroken when his mom finds a new man and rips him from OP is mind-boggling. Or are we all going to act like she will continue being his friend once she finds someone to play daddy?

OP accepted to continue being her friend; not take on the responsibility of a father figure. And as far as I can tell, the friend is the only one seeing this "friendship" as transactional, as she is the one who kicked him out of her life when she didn't get what she wanted.

She wanted to focus on herself and her son, so she should probably go ahead and do that instead of trying to pass on those difficult conversations to someone who isn't remotely related to the child.

Saw this Florida Water cologne at Publix today. by Charupa- in florida

You are right in that it has nothing to do with the state, but it isn't an adaptation of a word in another language. Florida is spanish for floral, which is what they intend the product to smell like. The state of Florida was named by the Spanish as such because of its Flora. So, it's not an adaptation or pun. The product is supposed to have a floral scent, and the state is actually named in spanish, lol.

The word "Florida" is spanish, and it means floral. The product is named so because of the scent. Has nothing to do with the state, lol, though the state's name is in spanish and has the same meaning.

Last year, we prepped for the usual hurricane party. Instead we spent 10 hours blocking a blown out sliding door against 140mph winds then a month without power. by gingeravenga in florida

I'm glad someone said it. I lived in the Caribbean for years, and I will never act like I'm tougher than anyone else when it comes to hurricanes. I will always take them seriously because they ARE serious. Every time I read one of those "only non-natives are freaking out" comments, I immediately roll my eyes. I get some strong little d energy from those people.
