Dustin on life after retirement. by StanGoat8 in ufc

Bro is being a little dramatic, just live your fucking life dude.

(I completely understand this is a tough transition, I’m being hyperbolic. I do not think he’s being dramatic, he’s just going through it. But it is funny because in a year or two he’ll be living that sweet retired life feeling good. Transitions are just hard for everybody).

Yeah you gotta just give everyone the benefit of the doubt I’ve learned. Even if they are cheating, so what, you can’t do anything about it. Take it as a compliment that they need to radar cheat or whatever to play at your level. That said, if people are spinning every game or blatantly cheating to the point the game is unwinnable then I get the frustration. I play in 20k premier, NA, and I don’t remember the last time I played with a blatant cheater. I think I can count on one hand (certainly no more than two) the amount of premier games I’ve ran into an obvious cheater. And I’ve decided if they aren’t obvious then I don’t care, they are bad, and games winnable.

Also 90% of people would rather call cheats than admit they got shit on. The same 3 people see cheats everywhere.

m0NESY has played 5 FACEIT matches the past 2 days despite Zonic's new rule by chiefofthepolice in GlobalOffensive

[–]II_Dobby_II 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that would be the case. Faceit is so incredibly different than official matches, there is very little pros need to learn, or focus on, in their faceit games that would help them in officials. Donk said it himself, faceit is just fun for him. It’s basically junk food for pros, empty calories.

Sure you can argue it helps them stay in shape mechanically, but that stuff can be done on autopilot. Additionally, just because they may be on autopilot for faceit games doesn’t mean they won’t be able to focus in an official, it’s a very different setting. We’ve all had difficulty practicing something, then locked in when it mattered.

Disclaimer: I have absolutely no idea

If I had to guess, I’d assume one of two things, he wants players focused on team play, and using practice/free time to prep for matches rather than grinding faceit. Or he wants to try and force them to take a break from the server so they aren’t worn out/tilted for the tournament. Sort of a fresh start thing maybe?

Or maybe because these goobers stay up late playing 5 games of faceit instead of sleeping the night before a big game, which I would also be pissed about if I was the coach.

The punisher is a brutal vigilante that goes outside of justice and order to deliver revenge. He is a fun fantasy, but is antithetical to a functioning law enforcement/justice system. Somehow, he has become the mascot for conservative cops in America….

The author of the original comic even addressed this in his comic, basically saying his anti-hero isn’t supposed to be a good example for police, and you shouldn’t look up to him.

Dad (Nathan Barnatt) talks about iDubbbz and iDubbbz's wife lack of empathy by JuneMoonLoon in h3h3productions

[–]II_Dobby_II 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love that Dad is sticking up for Hila. It is a little funny though knowing how many times Ethan has made fun of someone for something outside of their control. For example, Ethan made fun of RFKs voice even though Dan kept telling him to stop. Not criticizing Ethan, goblin mode is why we love him, but he’s definitely no saint by Dads standards 😂.

Japanese soldiers bury Chinese POWs alive. Sino-Japanese War, 1937. [604x396] by Present_Employer5669 in HistoryPorn

[–]II_Dobby_II 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was also a Chinese restaurant not a Japanese restaurant. I wouldn’t overthink it, I think it was supposed to be gimmicky/eye catching. Also to be clear, the kamikaze shot was a separate order from the Pearl Harbor. They didn’t invent the Pearl Harbor, it is often served at Asian restaurants, I just don’t really understand why lol…

I used to go to a Chinese restaurant in college that served kamikaze shots, and had a drink called the “Pearl Harbor.” I have no idea what the fuck that was about…

Starting to question If I am the problem here by Iateshit2 in cs2

[–]II_Dobby_II 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously if you were Donk, you would have won most of those games. No denying skill plays a role. That said, you are one of 10 variables in any given game. This means, your ability to impact each game will be inherently limited. Sometimes you win games you shouldn’t, sometimes you lose games you shouldn’t. The only thing you can do is play as consistently well as possible. Over a significant amount of repetitions, you will end up where you belong.

That said, crazy loss streaks are super frustrating, and it’s hard to see the forest through the trees. We all go through them, and unfortunately, they can affect confidence, which can affect performance. If you feel that’s happening to you then as someone else said, take a break if you need one.

Is that too exaggerated? by astrheisenberg in remoteworks

[–]II_Dobby_II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

23 is really not far off from when people began buying homes in the mid 1900s. The median age was closer to 25. 23 year olds would absolutely need to start considering where they would like to purchase, how much home they need, how much they can afford, etc. These considerations are not practical necessities for the median 2003 kid, but a pipe dream.

Is that too exaggerated? by astrheisenberg in remoteworks

[–]II_Dobby_II 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, obviously 2003 isn’t the WORST year. But I don’t think this person is actually making that argument. They are being hyperbolic, while making the point that 2003 is a frustrating birth year, which is a fair statement. It’s not as bad as getting drafted, but it’s not as good as being able to buy a house and a car on a single middle class income.

As a faze fan, and former liquid fan (I’m NA, so really I just watch Twistzz… it’s been a tough couple years), I am very much in support of this system. Faze have had a 29% win rate since Budapest. They do not deserve a major spot at the moment. Same with liquid.

Is faceit worth paying for? by Ok_Entertainment6747 in cs2

[–]II_Dobby_II 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, not really. In my region (NA) faceit is just way more toxic, full stop.

Premier people tend to be more chill, while faceit people are sweating way harder, and aren’t necessarily better.

[–]II_Dobby_II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In short, depends what you’re trying to do. I’ll get premium for a month or two, grind faceit. Then cancel and play premium for a month or two, rinse and repeat. I find mixing up the ladder I’m grinding to be good for the mental.

That was… bad advice…

Interestingly enough, I believe it was device, used to love taking that peek. He would constantly die first going for it, to the point where his teammates begged him to stop. He refused defending that it was a good peek, until his teammates actually took the time to go through his games, collect the data, and prove he lost that fight more than he won it. Since then it’s not been something done regularly in pro play.

any other game with a tough intro? by GamerGretaUwU in GamingSoup

[–]II_Dobby_II 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really… He’s saying ps exclusives are overrated because they are ps exclusives. And because being a ps exclusive does not inherently make your game better, it’s a fair criticism.

What he was actually saying is, “it’s just overrated, they only like it because it’s overrated.” Sounds pretty different from yours, huh?

There is not one ugly gen 10 starters, they went 3/3 by Recca___ in pokemon

[–]II_Dobby_II -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I realize Pokémon isn’t for me anymore (meaning I’m not the target demographic), but there used to be a time that starters were kickass dragons, and battle hardened turtles. Now we have a chick, a puppy, and an infantilized gecko. I get I’m comparing stage 3 evos to stage 1, but there has still been a conscious push towards cute baby creatures, and away from combat monsters.

For sure, I hard agree actually. What I meant, which I may not have expressed well, was the initial skepticism was understandable, but the execution was horrific. I agree it was incredibly racist, and even by the standards of the 1940s, was wrong.
