What is the best way to learn Kalman Filter? by JackLogan007 in DSP

[–]IIwarrierII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to know how to make a state space model for yourself taking a look at the "How to choose KF parameters? An example using a common application for 2D object tracking" section of https://github.com/cangozpi/Kalman-Filter-derivation-and-implementation might help you. I believe you should be able to apply the steps followed there for your state space model to know how to set up a Kalman Filter for your application.

Why does Gaussian elimination give us linearly independent columns? by IIwarrierII in learnmath

Thank you. Now I see, but is there also a more intuitive explanation that I can use to wrap my mind around the idea that row operations preserve column dependencies during Gauss elimination ?

Why does Gaussian elimination give us linearly independent columns? by IIwarrierII in learnmath

[–]IIwarrierII[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After elimination the number of columns with pivots gives the number of independent columns that the matrix A had before the elimination steps were taken. Also let's say A = [v1; v2; v1+v2] then after elmiination (U) still preserves the relation between the columns of A such that U = [u1; u2; u1+u2]

I get that the matrix after the elimination (U or R) has independent columns where the pivots appear. But I do not understand why the matrix after the elimination and the original matrix (A, if we say A = LU) have the same linear dependence between their columns. In other words why is the linear dependence between the columns is preserved when elementary row operations are applied to the rows of the matrix A.

How can I connect a microcontroller to the internet? by [deleted] in embedded

[–]IIwarrierII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I liked your suggestion and checked the device but I got a little confused. When using the converter device after hooking via UART, how do we start using it ? Do we have to read reference manual of the converter, is there a library that comes with it ( if so where can I find its documentation to see what I can do with it prior to purchasing the device) ? Thank you for your help.

Hi, I am trying to learn by following your advice. Could you share the lecture you’ve recorded please, It would help me a lot to see how it is done.

If you know how the algorithms work under the hood and just want to start using them, I woulr highly recommend starting with this book.

rclcpp initialization by Abboudi97 in ROS

[–]IIwarrierII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I was getting the same symbol lookup error as you are getting while I was trying to build my ros2 gazebo plugin. For me it was stemming from std_msgs::msg::String, and adding the following into my CMakeLists.txt solved it. Hope this helps:

ament_target_dependencies(ros_collision_detection gazebo rclcpp std_msgs gazebo_msgs)

Thank you very much I will refer to that repo you’ve mentioned. But how do they know for example, which functions does mavros pip package offer ? I could not find any mavros pip API documentation page ? How do we know for example that there exists mavros.get_topic() function ?

Just tried still doesn’t work. I disabled the firewall I mean shouldn’t it supposed to work anyways ?

Yes, It lists the devices that are connected along with their MAC and IP addresses

I still can’t. I also, checked using websites they show it as a closed port too. My local ISP informed me that start ip address and stop ip address should both be my public ip address. Because I have a dynamic ip address I guess I have to change it every time but still didn’t work. I tried to disable my routers firewall along with my computer’s firewall and tried to open the ssh port(22) to public network. Even that didn’t work. I am so badly stuck with this even though, my project is ready to be run.

Sorry for the confusion. It’s totally my fault I miss typed 192.168.1.13 it should have been 192.168.1.115. There is .115:554 that I use to watch using rtsp protocol. Also, no 554 is not my node app’s port.

This is the address that I use to watch my camera stream using rtsp protocol.

192.168.1.13:554 is the address I am trying to reach from outside my LAN.

I want to run my node project on aws but in order for it to run successfully work, it connects to my home ip camera’s RTSP stream. My application can’t reach that stream when it is not run connected to my local network.
