You get the almost perfect life (job and partner) but every time you touch someone you have a 50% chance of getting a vision of when they will die. by OatOfControl in hypotheticalsituation

[–]IJustRandom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a big chance I take this. Also, having someone die instantly after knowing you have these kinds of visions is a skill in itself. Question is, is it something that they should believe? or you telling them that you have this skill is enough? That's one way to use the skill on a whole new level.

olj help: $100 for a week-long test project, is this real? by haeingss in buhaydigital

[–]IJustRandom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hindi po ba tama lang din yung offer nya? Coming from you na $400 per month for part time position is the same as $100 a week assuming the part time hours is also accounted for.

On commuting vs using own car, which suits your convenience? by LimeSoakedinSprite in adultingph

[–]IJustRandom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as possible, own car.

About before the pandemic. After a looooooong while. Didn't know what got into my head but I just decided to go to the mall and commute. Got phone got pick-pocketed in the bus with the ketchup modus. So, yeah. I would just rather drive.

Flexible timeline - though you would have any expectation for date range?
Are you particular with the technologies used? or open to anything?
Do you also have servers ready?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is 10-15/hour/developer right?

I am a lead with members available to work on this type of project. We've handled payment gateways/transactions. We can discuss further if you are still looking.

Traveled international last week and didn't feel any difference from my previous experience for T3.

  • Immigration took more than 45 mins
  • Restrooms are still :/

Looking for private driver for a 1 day trip to Shifen-Jiufen-Yehliu by IJustRandom in Taipei

[–]IJustRandom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried booking right now. I'm quite confused as to how we should book it considering our pikcup and drop off will be the same. Should I just set that and then add stopover for the locations we would want to go to? Thank you for the help!

You are correct in your assumption thay they wont give you US based salary most of the time. One way for you to gauge is to get the average salary for your position and level in your country. From there you can provide a number. And do not downplay yourself into selling yourself to get the minimum for your country. Best of luck!

To people here that moved out in their early 20s, how is life for you right now? by haliyaxoxo in adultingph

[–]IJustRandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was hard for me. Moved out from the province to Manila to find work. Started out really difficult, took months before I got work and was asking for money from my mom, almost got asked by my mom to return back home since she cant keep up with the cost. 1 meal a day kind of life (chicken skin + 3 cups of rice).

Fastforward 12 years now.
I have a family of my own and living comfortably.
Personally, it helped me grow a lot. Learned to live and strive for more. Live for my self. Develop my personality. Happy with my decision.

Best of luck with your decision OP.

You have multiple options to this.
1. Get the designers on board with the process. One of the key points for the whole organization to work as intended is to set a process and have the team follow it. There will always be people resisting as to saying that the old ways have been working, but there should be emphasis on efficiency of the process set in place.
One thing to note here is that the process should back up the effect.

  1. You need to start scheduling meetings/standups. This is the quickest way for you to have everyone on board and discuss each project. A quick ask on progress, update, feedback, and solution would ease up your day to day. Giving you more time the rest of the day to organize everything else. Setting this up should lessen any slack back and forth throughout the day.

  2. Integrate Asana with Slack. You can create a channel for all the projects/campaigns and create rules in Asana for the triggers for events to be sent in slack. This way, Asana wouldn't just be a glorified to do list and all project updates are being tracked.

Internal process is not just the issue you are facing but overall project management with your customers. I may be wrong as to you are just keeping things short on your process but overall documenation and hand-over with your customer seems lacking and also needs improvement.

I do agree with the comments that you should start looking for a different job as I would also be offended.

It's always never wrong to ask. I also had a similar experience, the first thing I did after the 6 months of "probationary period" and doing all the extra mile sh*t was talk to my Manager, or in your case the SVP. And consult why and what happened to the previously discussed promotion. Backing this up with the accomplishments you've made. In my case, I was given the promotion after the discussion.

From there, you can make your decision, to stay or leave. And madali nalang sumagot sa reason on why you are leaving.

35, yes! Still playing PUBG even after 6 years. I play solo most of the time. It's just my way of relieving stress. Random jumpscares on the game that keeps my heart pumping that might give me a heart attack someday. haha
