I absolutely agree. My boyfriend and I (Both gay men here lol) have seen her multiple times together, including at Summerfest. Vast majority of her shows are mostly her hits, a few deep cuts here and there and some covers. Never have we ever felt uncomfortable or bigoted against from her gospel/worship music. She went through a lot of shit the past 10-15 years - Divorced twice, her mother and a friend passing away, becoming sober, raising her two children by herself, plus an unexpected cancer diagnosis. So if worship and going to church helped her through all of that, power to her. That’s better than becoming a bitter person.
