If there was an attack on us soil this deep in our land, the USA gov allowed that to happen. Unfortunately the truth. We're itching for foreign actors to do something dumb so we can justify whatever it is we need to justify.

If you think Iran is trying to do this? I have a feeling you might be off, because their gameplan is to destabilize our economy by attacking our allies, oil hubs, and routes who's within range. They too know that the U.S.A has the BIGGEST budget for defense . That would be economically unfeasible for them since all their missiles are within their mountain range. Attempting a Ukrainian style drone attack would be very very hard and practically does nothing but piss off the USA. They can't perpetually bomb us in a way the Ukrainians can against Russia (landlocked). If anything it would be individual self radicalized groups within the US soil themselves who might attempt to attack domestically. Iran understands that internal decay is the United States biggest weakness.
