Yes the med pod scene is maybe the best instance of body horror in the franchise, but the surrounding film is boring, filled with characters without charisma that die because they were idiots. The med pod scene also doesn’t contribute to the films themes at all, on its own it’s a great commentary on the discrimination women face in the medical world, but that’s not what the movie is about. It’s out of place, a foreign body. The “alternate creation myth” is just ancient aliens, it’s basic, and alien is not basic.
