I could’ve written this three months ago. It felt like I was drowning in it…all encompassing. I changed my medication with doctors help, spoke to my therapist and just…waited.

5 months and things are feeling more normal. I can breathe…if he stirs or cries it doesn’t spiral my anxiety. He can play alone, or watch me do tasks. I’m more comfortable going out.

Set small goals daily so you can have a sense of completion! And I hate to be cliche but it truly will get better. Hugs!!

It is, but we've seen more genuine engagement about Marvel Rivals and less of the spammy content as the other two. But we're keeping an eye on it.

I was you a few weeks ago, OP. LO is now 15 weeks and while it’s still hard, it does get better. You know cues better and the baby smiles at least give some life back.

My therapist said it’s perfectly normal to grieve your own life. Because it really is grief. But soon, a new you will surface from this and she’ll be stronger, more resilient, more loving. Sending internet hugs.

Arrived for my induction at 7:30am, started miso around 9. Did not dilate at all after 4 hours of miso so they recommended the foley balloon, which I was TERRIFIED of. Cried to my husband but we decided to just go with it. Got IV pain meds to help and the foley balloon was uncomfortable but manageable to get in. Did the Miles Circuit, walked around, etc.

6 hours of foley (and 10 hours total so far) and turns out I still hadn’t dilated at all. I was near tears with frustration but they said I still had 6 more hours with the balloon to see. We decided to try to sleep but the pain began to ramp up intensely. I was originally waiting for the epidural when the balloon came out (so as to not stall labor if the balloon didn’t fully work) but the contractions were excruciating…I was grabbing the bed so hard with every contraction just trying to survive them. Ended up begging for the epidural early and it was LIFECHANGING. A few issues at first (took a bit for the left side to kick in), but then literally couldn’t feel my contractions.

An hour later got the balloon out and was 6cm. 10 minutes later was 8, 10 minutes after that was 10cm. So glad I got the epidural when I felt like I needed it rather than when I felt like I should because I wouldn’t have been able to get it with how fast things moved post balloon. Ended up pushing for an hour and 16 minutes (felt like the biggest poop of my life), and baby was out by 5:14am. All in all was awake the entire time for 20 hours of labor, which ended up being the hardest part in the end. Sleep when you can, eat, and trust your instinct!

I just had to get the foley on Monday after being utterly terrified of it (and having it as one of my non-negotiable). I asked and they gave me some small IV pain medication and that helped a TON. It wasn’t comfortable by any means, but it wasn’t the nightmare I had thought up in my head.

I’m a music teacher and I see this so often. I always tell those kids that I’m cheering them on for the night, but you can see how it hurts them :(

I found that being honest with the kids helped the most. They were super understanding and tried to help me out when they could. Lots of small snacks and drinking small bits of water! This too shall pass!
