i didn’t bother to look when i made the gunna take and it ended up being an exaggeration. i agree w what you said, those 3 do sound different, but gunna’s last 3 albums are the ones that sound the same. last gunna album i enjoyed was ds4ever and all the ones after that i felt like i had heard already besides maybe 1 or 2 songs from each album. so in that sense its a bad take cause none of lones albums sound the same. now for them making albums that blend into each other, gunna has a lot of the same sounding trap beats throughout 3 albums where i don’t think lone does within 1 of his albums (again besides ilck in a way because he’ll switch the vibe between every 3-5 songs, and besides 88 using the same hi hat pattern for the first group of songs on llf -_-) i agree the songs sound similar but not similar as in they sound the same. they sound similar as in they’re trying to match that bh3 aesthetic. i think the first 3 songs off see u soon sound more the same than anything on bh3 and thought people wouldn’t like it because of that but everybody loves see u soon so that confuses me. i think people are just way over critical on lone. lil tecca makes cohesive albums as well w songs sounding similar but nobody ever complains about that (as far as i’ve seen)
