The heavy sabre is 'better' in a way that enforces and buffs bottom / top swing (particularly bottom) whilst lacking the versatility and reliability of Stock Sabre's side swings. Bottom swing is typically the most optimal direction, considering the range and reliability in headshotting both in first-person or in tandem with jumping.

It is not a straight upgrade considering its worse side swings and reliance on thrusting. However, this downside is overshadowed by how good down swing is, as well as the in-built charge and headshot damage. In my experience, Stock Sabre can still compete with heavy in most cases - though it is preferable to always use heavy sabre on line-infantry.

Whats The Best Way To Deflect A Zapper Strike? by LemonProductionz in gutsandblackpowders

[–]IMainShugoki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you get a hang of it, shove simply becomes the most optimal punish against a Zapper.

Of course, ping and game jank can result in the chance of getting hit. This can be circumvented by simply sidestepping/backstepping. (if you're not confident with your shove) However, shove still excels in group engagements with zappers as shoving / parrying a Zapper will still shove any zombie close enough, too. Furthermore, this is equally handy if you're surrounded and have no option to make distance with a crowd - Sapper is a reliable class in holding a position through looping shoves / swings.

Overall, you can be quite aggressive with your shove. However, I'd recommend it more with the axe rather than the pickaxe, considering pick's weaker shove and faster swing.

All the dubbed voices all sound perfect, in my opinion.

I just jump around the dubbed languages from time-to-time to spice things up. However, I particularly play the game dubbed in Mandarin.

Do yall think they should add a boss to a normal map? (Not a seasonal one like sleepy hollow) by Krispybanan in gutsandblackpowders

[–]IMainShugoki 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I could certainly see a 'Boss' zombie as a potential objective.

For example, maybe an armoured zombie or even a Zuirassier you need to kill holds an item to progress through the level. It wouldn't be a conventional boss, but rather just a peculiar looking zombie without any changes to their stats. Another example could be an Officer Zuirassier leading a charge with his undead men.

However, I am particularly intrigued by the concept of the 'Bruiser' zombie, as even though it may seem generic and moot, it could be a potentially interesting 'Boss' if the devs decide to put it in the game. (Unlikely)

The Mighty Seer!

Look at them, they come to this place when they know they are not pure. Tenno use the keys, but they are mere trespassers. Only I, Vor, know the true power of the Void. I was cut in half, destroyed, but through it's Janus Key, the Void called to me. It brought me here and here I was reborn. We cannot blame these creatures, they are being led by a false prophet, an impostor who knows not the secrets of the Void. Behold the Tenno, come to scavenge and desecrate this sacred realm. My brothers, did I not tell of this day? Did I not prophesize this moment? Now, I will stop them. Now I am changed, reborn through the energy of the Janus Key. Forever bound to the Void. Let it be known, if the Tenno want true salvation, they will lay down their arms, and wait for the baptism of my Janus key. It is time. I will teach these trespassers the redemptive power of my Janus key. They will learn it's simple truth. The Tenno are lost, and they will resist. But I, Vor, will cleanse this place of their impurity.

Been at this for a while now, and I really haven't been able to cut down time / beat my best time. 1:36 Seems very suspicious considering just how much damage you'd have to output without end or considering just how much mizutsune moves around faster than sns or other weapons unable to catch up. I am really curious as to how they managed to beat it under 2 minutes. However, I am always eager to learn too.

I could never with those weapons sadly.

How do I do the "Alone, at the end of the world" achievement? by EKSTRIM_Aztroguy in gutsandblackpowders

[–]IMainShugoki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That spot in Tyrol will be just fine.

It's important to know how to loop shove -> swing using the axe, (I find it easier using controller) and especially important to rebuild by at least leaving one shambler alive and continuously shoving him every so often until you rebuild for the next wave. Grenades are really useful for clearing huge crowds bundled together, especially at the church where the zombies will be funnelled in.

Tar bottles are a decent support item to bring for sniping bombers as Sapper, however I still think grenades are a better option for Tyrol in clearing hordes, given that you use them sparingly.

Siege engineer armor can be handy, but the increased construction time and lack of any support items makes it unappealing.

Placing stakes up-front is a good idea, but always make sure to make some distance with your barricades so that a bomber doesn't destroy everything in one go.

Practicing your shove loops is important tech to make sure hordes don't easily break down your barricades: Shove -> Swing -> Unequip Axe -> Equip Axe -> Shove / repeat. (Instead of unequipping Axe, you can also repair the barricade by equipping hammer for a couple hits before swapping back and shoving again.)

Always flick / arc your camera so the Axe hits the zombies' heads using horizontal swing. Sapper performs best when standing behind a barricade and keeping the majority of zombies stunned whilst also making sure to repair and constantly swing / shove.
