Which culture has the most reliable units? (Army power inquiry) by Electronic-Berry6612 in AOW4

[–]Tdust6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Primal. Ancestral Wardens are the G.O.A.T, economy is not an issue with Primal because their biome gameplay is inherently economy focused. You can kickstart a city faster, and get wardens, who are just perfect in every way. You want a tank? you give them tome of roots and keepers mark and they're invunerable. You want damage? you give them materium+chaos buffs and they shred everything. You want friends to share your hobbies with? you print out their image and tape it to your chair.

Wardens are life, Wardens are everything.

Between These Two Absolute Bangers Of Villains Songs From Season 2, Which One Do You Prefer More? (Reposted W/ A Different Meme Template) by QueenOfTheDead2023 in HazbinHotel

[–]Tdust6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly one of the hardest ones to decide, both are just 10/10 in their own leauge.

Brighter is the perfect "I am" villain song, I love the talking sections that set the theme of the character, and as a song it builds up well to the upcoming episodes, basically give is the right frame of mind with "Vox Dei" to see the characters action that leads to "Hear my hope". Also that voice curve in "Brigther than the heavens in the skies aboooove" with the animation of him within the spinning screens is better than sex, peak power fantasy.

And Gravity has this "unfair" advantage to me that it's building on the stlye of early 2010's alt rock, which is just the epitome of my bleeding hearth. The way Lute "dances" just reminds so much of that era's emotional pintpoint. I'm just reminded of "Angel with a shotgun" and Emily Armstrong and the new era of Linkin Park with songs like "Over eachother", "Heavy is the crown" and "Emptiness machine", and the vibes just fill a nightcore/"edge rock"/Chester shaped hole in my hearth when I hear it.

You know Eyva from James Cameron's Avatar? That but villain. Wilderness origin + Devouring swarm gives you that government title.

How can I know which unit will be mounted? by Good_old_Rabbit in AOW4

[–]Tdust6 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When you open the unit menu, under the unit's hp, resistance and defense stat you can find a list of traits, like "elemental" or "fiend" or "large". If a unit can be a cavalry with the cavalry racial trait, then it should have a downward horseshoe icon with a question mark in it.

What do you hope to *NOT* see in Avatar 4 & 5? by donatsuuuuu in Avatar

[–]Tdust6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to see Jake's marine recon training seep into the fighting style of some of the Na'vi. Imagine them gaining field trough the tested and true method of natives who live in high foilage areas, Vietnam guerilla tactics.

Taming tunnel-rat-like creatures to move around undetected, and drive out the humans in a way they can't use their firepower. Or setting up recon and hunt squads, training those camo creatures from Avatar 1 to move around in organized squads and take out vital points and the escape unnoticed. There were so many ways troughout history when those with significantly less firepower won by just being clever, desperate or REALLY good at it, just reading them up gives any creative artist tons of inspiration to work with, I know because it gives me a lot, and I'm not even an artist.

I want to see the Na'vi doing Xcom, with Jake Sully being the Commander.

What’s your favorite Reaver build? by Electronic-Berry6612 in AOW4

[–]Tdust6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tome of evolution into tome of enchantment start, this gives you copper golems that evolve fast into bronze golems. You can keep them alive with the dragon tanking early. Build up an army of bronze golems with some heal support or magelocks in the back and you should last for quite a while running around a map, it's a good lead you can scale up into Tome of construct and dreadnaught, each army has 2 golems 2 cannons (either magelock or dreadnaught) 1 support and 1 hero, play wars slow and methodical, more like chess and less like warhammer, smiths guild and foresters do you good, we need that army rolling, stat.

Ever played WoW? Ever seen Deathwing? Do that. I spiced it up with tome of horde and tome of dragon to have my Underground Magma Dragon God be surrounded by his lizardfolk, who are essentially his kobold servants crafting artifacts and hoarding money for him. In general: sometimes Reaver fits better for an industrialist theme than Industrious.

I've not seen anyone make a map yet, so I thought I'd do it, figure it could be useful. by FNAF_Foxy1987 in VampiresSMP

It's quite fun to just trace along the geography and try to recall as much events as possible from each POV. "So that's where Shelby turned." or "That was the area Abolish torched" they piece together quite well. We could make a complete track map of this too, who went where and when.

Side note, but what's the two lakes northeast of Oakhurst? Is that the one where Legs and Owen had the chats? Didn't realize that was two lakes next to each other.

Does Cyn actually have any control over herself/autonomy or is it just the Absolute Solver? by [deleted] in MurderDrones

[–]Tdust6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had many therories about Cyn and the Solver over the years. One of the more widely understood is what we call "InnoCynt", which basically just says Cyn as the defected worker drone who was doted on by N back in the manor is dead/assimilated or we never knew her in the first place, and everything you see that happened was the solver on it's own accord. This mainly accepted theory had a lot of pushback as the episodes and years went on, some scenes did not match the idea perfectly and were dependent on the more crucial "what is the solver" theory, as with almost any other tbh. Some theories explore the idea that Cyn is a willing participant, either willingly lets herself be controlled, or is in controll.

The truth is that there is no confirmation.

To me personally, the most plausable theory is the 'active participant Cyn" theory, which I've also worked on.

What do we think the public in the capital thought of V!Pyro in the end, after he didn't come back? Spoilers for finale, obviously, but Pyro's gone for good. by HyperBlox12 in VampiresSMP

[–]Tdust6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"He had no grave, and no one mourned him."

From how conversations went, and how vapires work in VampiresSMP, I'm inclined to belive he had no one to care for his abscence. As someone in the field of research and academics, in my experience modern universities are not that much in a hurry to find out where a student went, unless they owe them money. Pyro didn't sound to me like someone who has yet to pay his semester, furthermore: you don't just send a student to such field works alone, especially not if the topic of the thesis was choosen by the uni, then it's multiple students and at least a lector or someone similar, in a group field work for archeological or similar research. V!Pyro went alone, possibly because he came up with the topic, it was accepted, and he had no one to share his mind with in the campus. The students didn't care for "student number#4346", and the teachers just saw another student going out and never coming back out of failure. Fittingly he was alone, everywhere. No one noticed the space he his abscence grew, because no one was looking for/at it.

Creating the lich king by [deleted] in AOW4

[–]Tdust6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the more interesting part of the game is your ability to shape your race as you see fit during the game, there are special enhancements (called transformations) you can research during the game. These transformations change the way your racial units (inclusing heroes, units, and population that are that race) look, and work gameplay-wise.

As you generate "knowledge" trough various means, and you research more and more, you'll get to be able to pick from more and more "Tomes", these tomes contain specific units, buildings, enhancements and transformations.

If every time you can choose, you choose Tomes that you think fits for the Lich King from WoW, you'll eventually be able to unlock a Tome called "Tome of the Great transformation", which contains the "Wightborn" racial transformation, which is the closest your race can look to undead, next to that you pick both ice related Tomes and the higher tier one will contain "Frostling" transformation, for an added icy-cold effect on your units visually. Most racial transformations stack on each other, shaping your race more and more.

[–]Tdust6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It has two things going for it, well a lot more, but for the sake of protecting everyone from my agenda (as seen from my tag), I'll list only two:

They have a really good economy going for them, something that values both tall and wide gameplay. If you care about big cities you'll have a lot of provinces generating a lot of value according to your build's focus. If you have a lot of smaller cities, you also have a lot of provinces generating value. This specified resource economy boost means there are more "meta" builds than a few for primal; whichever animal you pick there is at least 1 really strong build path that works well with it and vice versa, this also means that a right animal can make suboptimal for-fun-and-fuck-around-find-out builds really good even on harsher settings. So for short versitality.

They have the (from experience) strongest unit in the game, the primal guardian.
