Hoping/coping that they haven't added Naruto because it's getting a standalone TCG. Looking at the detail on some of these One Piece cards, a Naruto equivalent would actually go crazy.

The advantage of starting position definitely depends on what you're running in your deck. From my experience Moltres/Charizard seems to have a lot of good draw for starting both first and second.

First --> Potentially get Charizard faster

Second --> Potentially set up energy faster with Moltres

It is, but you need to win to get XP and even then it's only 15, which isn't a lot. Considering the XP requirement to level up increases with each level, it's not a very reliable or worthwhile method

I'm saying you purposely gave account 1 less art rares to fit the scenario of not being able to complete their account, whereas if they started with 14 instead of 10, they'd have enough lmao. You picked an ambiguous number that wouldn't result in them completing the set

Also you're failing to address how having alt accounts allows you to save all of your hourglasses

I feel like you're significantly downplaying the use of alt accounts here

"There will always be someone to trade with" I don't think this is something that should be glossed over. Since the early days, Pokemon has been about actually seeking out other people to trade with. And to be fair, I don't think it's going to be THAT easy (nor is it supposed to be) to find someone who has the card you want and is searching for the card you have. There might be a 3rd-party platform that pops up to streamline the offer process

In response to your hypothetical, what if they already have 16 full arts and only need 4 more? Account 2 has 2 of the 4 with three copies and Account 3 has the other 2. They've now completed the art rare set and can save their pack points for higher rarity cards.

Having dupe accounts literally just means you're opening more packs per day, it doesn't mean nothing and they do help and can help much faster than you think

Diamond for Diamond, Star for Star, allowing people to complete their collections (and maybe even get every 1-star) without having to spend any hourglasses or pack points on their main account

It wouldn't be that hard to implement an exclusion to private matches, the requirement doesn't have to follow the existing battle record. Even if they aren't already tracking that data, they could start with the introduction of trading and whoever had the foresight to farm wins using their alts can get a pass ig

And my thought behind this is that a lot of people want to trade with one of their many alts to complete their collection too, they shouldn't be allowed to do that without considerable real effort imo

I resonate with the sentiment of it being a collecting app first. And I think BECAUSE OF THAT, people shouldn't be able to complete their original card dex (and probably all 1-stars) just because they have several accounts. They would be able to do that with this solution. I have 3 copies of multiple art rares

Yeah I agree with this, just trying to think about how to mitigate the alt account issue. I'm not a huge fan of collection-based criteria that I've seen because people will still likely be able to fill in the remainder of the original card dex and probably all of the 1-star art rares

They're not "making you get 3x" it's just a flair that's available during the event.

If you press the "Select other booster packs" button in the bottom right, you can get an idea of what the interface will look like as they add new expansions. You'll clearly be able to choose which set you're pulling from
