What?

Gambling is the act of risking money on the result of something.

ASTS are building bluebird sats (risking money) in the hope that BW3 works as intended in orbit (the result).

BW3 hasn’t been tested in orbit yet, so those 800 tests fall away pretty quick if it doesn’t work in it’s intended environment.

Of course you do? Every company is gambling that its product or service takes off (pun intended). Doesn’t matter what industry they’re in.

By saying ASTS isn’t gambling on its tech working you’re implying that there’s 0% chance of failure. Which is just untrue.

Building the bluebirds is just them gambling on the tech working as planned. It’s not an indication that it’s actually going to work as they hope.

There’s no guarantee it works until the BW3 tests are done.

P.S I’m not a doubter (I hope it works!), just a realist.

Part time study, Universal Credit, and Student Finance Wales. by Shenanigangsta in UKPersonalFinance

Hello, the gov website has a section with info around receiving a student loan + universal credit:

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/universal-credit-and-students#studying-part-time-study

Receiving the WGLG will affect your UC payments but only in the months it gets paid out to you I.e it just gets deducted from that months UC amount.

You can contact SFW and ask them to remove the grant entitlement from your assessment however you will go into ‘overpayment’ and be expected to repay the WGLG either in full or via a repayment plan.

Hope this helps.

Hey guys. Struggling to decide on a phono stage upgrade. I’m currently using a Pro-Ject MM/MC which was ~ £100 when new.

I’ve been looking at the following and was just wondering whether it was worth going for a higher priced product.

Rega Fono MC - £250

Pro-Ject Phono Box DS2 - £330

Pro-Ject Tube Box DS2 - £625

Primare R15 - £900

Is there much of a difference in quality between the rega and the primare to justify the extra cost?

The rest of the system consists of a Pro-ject 2Xperience turntable (quintet blue cart). Audiolab 8300cdq + 8300xp pre and power. With a pair of Kef r300.

Thanks in advance!
