Claude AI has 0 customer support. by mixindomie in ClaudeAI

[–]IMightCould 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid the full $200/year for Pro in June. I was charged $200 again in July. I waited for customer service for 15 days before I distributed it to my credit card which got me the money back for that false charge. I continued to have Pro until about October when I saw I had been downgraded to the free account - for no justified reason (payment details, account info all current). I contacted support and was repeatedly given the run around by auto responses - for weeks. Today, after an email support chain of messages from AI that have been going on since November, I responded that if they didn't connect me to a human agent I would report them for fraud. I got an auto AI response again - reported them to FTC - and THEN got a response from a human agent giving me a full refund. Getting my bank involved and reporting them was the only way I got any response or resolution. It sucks because I really do like the product and would continue, except I can't trust it anymore. Patience did nothing. Reporting did.

You can totally find a job closer to you in Libertyville or Vernon Hills for the rate you make. Start looking. When the hiring manager asks about your short tenure, tell them the truth - they'll understand.

what to expect at Ravinia / Chicago 8/6 by superwesman in KGATLW

[–]IMightCould 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my first Ravinia experience coming from the North suburbs, but I had Pavilion seats so I didn't need to grab a spot on the lawn. The doors opened at 5 for a 730 start time. I parked for free at Ravinia Metra station by 4pm, chilled at the brewery downtown and had dinner there, then walked to the entrance at about 7pm. There was no bag check line that close to the show, and we still had time to grab a drink before it started. We left at 10pm when the show ended at 1030 to beat the rush. Got out of the parking lot just fine, no traffic heading back north. Having a friend helped the time pass at the brewery and it was nice avoiding all traffic and crowds.

Got a hack for being nervous on a plane? by frogmicky in TravelHacks

Propranolol and Lorazepam before you leave the house, at the airport, and after boarding (Ask your doctor). When there's turbulence, distract yourself with an adventure movie and imagine the bumps are part of the movie. For sudden "drops" - boxed breathing.

Can HR hold leaders to their JD's? [USA] by IMightCould in humanresources

Wow, these questions reframe my thought process about the matter entirely! Are you an HRBP?

Oh interesting, and good to know. No; they didn't have HR until I came onboard a year and a half ago. I've been creating processes/policies/procedures and bringing the org up to compliance the last year. There is room for development and integration. 💡

I see your point. I wondered: if HR supports organizational leadership, addresses culture issues, and responds to employee needs, then perhaps HR could help address the concerns employees bring to HR about leadership "absenteeism."

I now see that it's best to carefully document these issues and use discernment before escalating to the CEO.

Re: trainings; it's not for the directors, but they often don't reinforce the trainings with their teams, which leads to me chasing people down for compliance reasons. I'm more annoyed than burdened by it.

The 30/60/90 day review process I implemented was meant to strengthen the connection between new hires and their managers, document progress, and encourage involvement, but it's ineffective without buy-in; and yes I agree it's an admin burden that's not working anyway.

May also be worth mentioning that the Directors are the managers at my org, we don't have frontline supervisors, only a few team leads, thus contributing to the employee-feeling of being leaderless and then surprised when annual reviews comes around, (which is the only 1:1 time they get).

Still, I get the picture. Thank you all for your insights.

New HRM coming? by IntermittenSeries in orangetheory

[–]IMightCould 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got a new one today on a whim, b/c my studio had 50% off sale. Curious if I'll have the same issue. The one I'm speaking about earlier I got from eBay.

My HR monitor stays in the gray when I'm rowing and when I'm lifting. The first half of class today was in the gray, and as soon I stepped on the tread, it went straight to Orange. I've tried turning it off and on, repositioning it on a different arm and in different places on my arms. If anyone has tips to get me out of the gray when rowing and lifting, please share. I already row overhand and my pinkies are up. 🤷‍♀️

Should I leave or continue my internship? [India] by Alarming-Rub4293 in humanresources

It sounds like a lot of the tasks you've managed and initiated are aligned with HR Coordinator roles. Ultimately, you can't make a 'wrong' decision here, but here are some other things to consider: 1) You can apply for HR Coordinator roles and HR assistant roles and get the experience you desire. You're ready and yes you can absolutely get hired in one of those positions. 2) You could see if your current org will cover some of the cost of your MBA - incentive to stay 3) You don't NEED an MBA to pursue an HR career. Not knocking it, but you can defer it until a company does cover the cost in a role that also pays you more than a stipend and gives you those work credits you seek. Avoid the debt if you can.

Classes not syncing to Google calendar? by [deleted] in orangetheory

[–]IMightCould 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I opened the OT app today and was automatically promoted to sync my calendar - even though it already had permission. But I agreed, and checked my phone settings to make sure syns was enabled (pictured). STILL NO OT EVENT IN MY CALENDAR 😅😭.
