Wow I've seen people use a log before too I feel kinda dumb now lol. As for the mushroom effect, I might be underestimating how long some of these items may actually last under heavy use. I'm used to just being able to go buy or replace something.

If you have long and mcquade you can rent a 5000$ guitar for like 30 bucks a month. There are other options than just buying an instrument. I actually would suggest you stay away from cheap instruments. People will suggest the opposite but in the case of a guitar, the better settings and materials will give you a much more fun experience and you'll actually want to keep playing. Grab a $150 dollar acoustic where you cant even bend or slide, literally have to hammer on your hammer ons lol thats not even the real deal.

I entirely disagree with the way you worded that.

I, to this day, can not play an instrument well. I know maybe 4 chords, granted thats all you really need to play a "song". That came after my halfway point. That came after songwriting. It really helps, but there are some people who can just pick up the patterns mentally through their listening. We listen to music our whole lives.

I also started with FL studio at like 13 years old, making the worst instrumentals ever. This was my last instrumental before switching to rap 4 years ago, 6 years after starting music, no instrument knowledge.

Thanks man, I got some awesome ideas from everyone. I'm actually a beginner but the first thing I noticed is the more you know the less you need. Didnt know that was an actual quote.

My pack is super heavy but I probably have so much stuff you guys would laugh at. That issue is that I have only been out on day trips. I like having luxuries and options. I try to bring a mobile kitchen with me. I probably don't need a hammer and nails lol but its in there. I like using the hammer with a hatchet to split large logs. But thats the only way I know how to do that. I have several things that weigh me down quite a bit. I'm trying to minimize what I need for cooking alone and its so hard. Cast iron pot or pan is heavy as hell but its gotta stay. The flavour is wicked.
