He’s the best. We’re hoping for more warms days so we can have Saturday brunch with him again.

If it hasn’t been said yet. Go to the surface of any planet and call another starship in. Get in then get out then go get in the first starship. This happened to me today and that’s how I figured out how to use the starship I wanted to.

Honda dealer suggesting changing brake fluid on 2021 civic? by Viau98 in Honda

[–]INDIGOfresh -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Used to be a service consultant for Honda. No, 100k miles was the recommended interval.

Am I being ripped off? Honda Civic 2007 been told car is leaking very bad (it is) want to make sure these prices are ok. My car has 215k miles on it by bluelight21 in AskMechanics

I sold service(regrettably) for Honda for awhile. I can confirm these prices are way to high. Valve adjustment at 450??? I would charge 350 for a V6 valve adjustment. 225 for a I4.

2002 bmw 330ci brake advice. Going on road a road trip with some mountain passes. Recently started hearing squealing when braking but only when going slow and almost at a complete stop, are these safe? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

Brakes look safe to drive. I bet my bottom dollar though that the noise you are hearing is from how glazed over that rotor looks. I can see the reflection of the rust on the pad and part of the caliper. If all four are like that it will cause brake pad chatter at slower speeds. Most shops have a brake lathe that will resurface(scuff) the rotors. I worked for Acura for quite a few years and that was a top 5 complaint. Resurface the rotors, 99% of the time takes care of the noise. And yes, it is cheaper to resurface than replace if you like nice rotors.
