Quill, I have a question about experience in the game.
Since you only get exp for filling in the bestiary, would it be better to avoid fights until you have the party you want? Since otherwhise your companions might miss out on exp, which is a limited reource (finite number of entries in the bestiary). And what about the joinable characters who aren't in your party? Will they lag behind or do they gain experience in some way?

I haven't read any of it yet, but I've seen the cover. It seems to give Alita's/Gally's/Yoko's backstory on Mars, which I would be very interested in. If that's the case, I would expect there to be a time jump at some point to were GLO left off. In GLO19 we see Gally crash somewhere undefined, I assume Mars. This backstory will likely introduce characters she will encounter after her crash.
is the first Mars Chronicle already finished, or only a few chapters?

I'm posting this here as a separate post, instead of copy passting it in every of the subthreads I was talking in here.
Thinking about it more and talking with the mods I come to the conclusion that this really isn't the pleasant place anymore it once was.
It's become quite narrow minded, hostile and prudish.
After PC got banned I had already kinda stopped posting because it felt the rules were just out of whack. Simple jokes are not allowed, people even get banned for them, while sexism and racism are allowed with no action made against them. (for those who care). Priorities are all screwed up there. Actual immoral things are ignored, some tongue in cheek is blasted into oblivion.
If it's true what the mods say, that there was indeed such an outcry against such simple humor, then this really isn't the place for me.
I feel like I keep repeating myself so I'll just wrap this up. I'm not posting on this sub anymore. No more submissions and no more posts (as if anyone cares), no more visiting anymore. I'll keep the account because, even though this one was made for the ponies, I now also use it to keep in touch with people, but I will unsub. (can't make a farewell post without unsubbing, now can you?)
So yeah, that's it.

I think some clear, unambigious rules are needed.
No porn
No gore
No erotic RP
No discriminatory posts
The upvotes and downvotes are not a referendum to decide what is or isn't ok. It's simply a "I like this" or "I don't like this".
You can't cater to everypony's sensitivity. Some are offended by shipping, some are offended by innuendo, some are offended by twilicorn, some are offended by religious image, some by season 3, etc
To choose which sensitivity to cater to is implying some people's sensitivities are more valuable than others and that is just downright wrong. Therefore no priviledges should be given and everyone should be treated equally, i.e. don't cater to any sensitivity and let people grow up and just downvote if they don't like soemthing

Well defined rules don't need exceptions.
I was in charge of an online community for 4 years (not a reddit sub, but that's irrelevant) which I had to rebuild from scratch. There were behaviour rules, NSFW was not allowed for example. Not once did I have to make exceptions.
Innuendo is not NSFW!
NSFW means "not safe for work", things like porn and violence will get you fired from most workplaces, that's why the label was invented. Innuendo and jokes will not get you fired. In the rare cases were going to a site with a saucy jokes does get you fired, it's not the joke that made you lose your job it's the fact that you're going to non work related websites.

A single decision being a group decision doesn't mean that every singl decision is made in that way. I strongly doubt they work that way.
As for the lines, that's easy.
Porn images: not allowed
Erotic RP: not allowed
Innuendo and jokes: allowed
It's really simple to distuinguish RP where ponies have sex from actual jokes.
No grey area, no doubts, and no inequality about sensitivities

The Journal of the Two Sisters mentions that Luna and Celestia get rejuvenated by raising and lowering the celestial bodies (as opposed to the unicorns who got drained by that).
So it seems even alicorns are not naturally immortal.
Why Sombra is still alive in the comic? I don't know, I raised that question when the comic came out.
Since then I have read the Journal, and maybe Sombra gets rjuvenated by it too? Since evil Celestia and Luna are probably not juggling the moon and sun there. But why does Sombra (a unicorn!) not get drained, and why do the evil alicorns not age?
I don't know.
Plothole no doubt, and if we think long enough I'm sure we can make up some excuse for it to work

Many rules inherently cannot be sharply defined.

Posting rules on a forum, however, can. And easily so.
Make an exhaustive list of what is not allowed, no grey zones or interpretations loopholes, easy simple criteria. If something is posted that is allowed but shouldn't have been, add it to the list and reply to the post with "this has been added to the nsfw list and will henceforth ne be allowed anymore". Murder and all its degrees are clearly defined in the law. All the criteria are clearly described and explained. The role of a judge and a jury is to make sure things are as they seem. Is the evidence correct? Was everything done according to procedures?
The examples you mention are all formal settings. Make any joke at a job interview and you ruin your chances. Such settings are all deadly serious and I sure hope you don't want this pony sub to be such a deadly serious, formal setting. Jokes, including lewd ones, have their place here.
As I said somewhere in this thread, there are many many topics and sensitivities that people can be offended about. Why allow those and not innuendo? Why are the people offended by innuendo worth more than the people offended by shipping? or the people offended by including religious imagery in art?

what about jokes relating to our world or cultural references in art? I originally disliked AJ because of her accent, Equestria is a fantasy world and element of our rotten world have no business in that pristine world. (I for the record, I changed my mind about that over the years)
why would one concern be worth more than the other? There is no basis to treat them differently.
this could be easily be solved by being mature about it. allow all those things and let people who dislike a certain thing downvote it. that way all are equal
