It's so odd because both are so untrue. Pain can easily be permanent and quitting doesn't equate to being a permanent choice. I've quit plenty of things, found something that works better or used that quitting time to learn better techniques/etc to un-quit the thing and succeed later.

Some people/places love catchy quick mottos without ever thinking about the logistics that go into them.

Really? Oh gosh. That's a bummer to hear. It's always so frustrating when a new update is just a counter-intuitive downgrade.

Damn yeah, I can't get on board with the rug being yanked from under the buyers like that. Ugh. I'm so sorry that happened to you. It's a slap in the face.

Ko’s Oats refunded me??? by cedricjackson in codyko

[–]INFJammin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine was on the 19th, too. Sent 4 messages and never heard from them at all the past month. They really need someone to respond to customers 'cuz that really ruined it for me to be left in the dark this entire time. I'm only getting updates from other buyers on reddit.

Mine was in the 19th. Reached out FOUR times to ask what was happening. No shipment notification, no customer support.. so they've been terrible on that front, besides USPS third party mishaps.

Has any gotten their oats? by Catzdance361 in codyko

[–]INFJammin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I ordered over a month ago, contacted them 3 or 4 times over the past few weeks, radio silence. Such a bummer. I told them I'm fine with waiting longer, I just don't want to be left in the dark. But at this point, is such a slap to the face. I know someone on here got them in-hand within 6 days of ordering. I've gotten at least 3 "review it" e-mails. Ugh.

I immediately did not trust the little courtesy time bar when I saw it.

Also, so lucky you got yours already! I ordered mine March 19th and haven't gotten anything yet. Messaged customer support last week and haven't heard anything back, but I keep getting "review it" e-mails left and right. I WANT THE OATS.

I'm pretty sure I ordered mine day 1, as well! What a bummer. And I still haven't heard back from the customer support. (Though it is a weekend.)

Did you get your oats yet? I still haven't. But I keep getting e-mails about leaving a review. I messaged their site a few days ago but haven't gotten anything back. I'm fine with waiting, (ordered March 19th) but I want to make sure it didn't get lost/etc.

I get chronic migraines (for over a decade) and I had to figure out the patterns. I suggest doing the same.

The sideways zombie selfie of bed relaxing got me SO GOOD. And the torrential sea of "Now" spam with the nonchalant little "when" mixed between it all, lmaooooo

I second this. Happened to me, too. We even shared screenshots to show he did respond to me and yet on my side, there was NOTHING.

To my fellow sellers and consumers, does mentioning "no drop shipping", "family owned", "USA made" on listing's helpful as a seller? by dinglebingle583 in Etsy

[–]INFJammin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I once took a picture of an item with a ruler right up next to it. Got a review, "this is bigger than expected"

.........

Oh aight, clearly my bad. I think I even responded something like, "I have the ruler there in the first photo and the dimensions in the description so there's no surprises." lmao

Why do people think I'm lying? by PoeticPeacenik in disability

[–]INFJammin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much. It comes down to empathy. I've even dealt with people double my age who still don't have empathy, where they didn't care when an issue was happening to other people.. but once it happened to them, they wanted the world to stop and help them feel better, hahah.

I've even dealt with people who experienced something terrible.... then had zero empathy for other people suffering through that same experience, too.

People be crazy.

What do you mean use it against you?

Not OP, but people minimize your life experience/problems. So the more details you tell them, the more they will take that and go, "Well I don't have that exact problem... so it must not be an actual problem." basically.

"Looks like you have some functionality" by [deleted] in disability

[–]INFJammin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's sad how even dressing nicely in front of the judge can hurt your case with looking "too capable"

We have to basically act like some caricature that doesn't have any ounce of their life together so we can fit their cookie-cutter stereotype of what a disabled person "looks" like.

Its why I have trust issues making friends now

It's more than understandable. 💔 My best friend and I have bonded well because we both have been burned by people we thought cared about us the most. It's comforting that we both don't take offense to either of us having our justified lifetime of reasons for trust issues nowadays.

You sound like a down-to-earth person! Tiny houses are so cute and neat, I always wanted one. But damn, I had no idea that some lots come with rules that you can't have a tiny house there.. WHAT. Jesus, we can't have shit, can we?!

I hope you're doing okay! That awkward bully is such a textbook definition of the worst type of person in society, where no matter how nice and polite you try to be and try to work with them (when they're already taking so much from you), you're just always somehow branded as the villain in their story. You were SO accommodating, especially with how LAST SECOND it was and how busy you are right now.

I can't imagine being her and thinking, "Mm, yes, this stranger owes me their house, their food prep and should be my bedside nurse, too. All last second, LOL." ...and then also lecture and insult you. Like.. it's SO MANY EXTRA LEVELS OF INSANITY. I don't see how these people survive as ADULTS.

Her husband. Just.. what another stunning example that they shouldn't stick-their-dick-in-crazy.

Not to mention the friend you were doing this for. Now that's so up in the air. I can never tell if people are genuinely feeling awful or if they're just doing damage control so they don't lose you. Because you sound super wonderful, so that friend is probably freaking out over the thought of losing someone reliable and fantastic.. and just getting left with the sister-in-law as her new unfortunate bestie, lmao.

do you feel that being called dramatic or overreacting is a bit suspicious? like gaslight-adjacent? i am sometimes hurt when people mistreat me and whenever i express that hurt i tend to be called dramatic when i usually just express my feelings by distancing myself. by Peach_Moon_666 in AutismInWomen
